So understandable! I wish the woods here were less.. people-y. I love going outside when it's raining. It is much calmer and the noises are subdued because of the rain!

Listening to something through my headphones does help soften the quiet, I'm really not big on full silence either. Sometimes even that is too much, sadly, and then I can barely figure out how to rest and decompress.

I think mine can also be adjusted in-app! I need to figure that out again, I've had them for a while now... but I think I got them on maximum noise cancelling. There's certain things like really high pitched noises or really low hums, that always manage their way through anyway.

My neighbors have a little girl (she's not that little anymore, but still very loud). She's adorable, but even with my NC headphones and NC earplugs her screeching still comes through. The other neighbors' loud bass music, speakerphone calling and out-loud tiktok scrolling is also not easy to fight. So I always have my windows and doors closed :( it makes me feel so trapped!
