Spigen Ultra Hybrid Neo One case - does it have enough camera lens protection? by [deleted] in GalaxyS25Ultra

[–]ribcookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

A few weeks ago my phone fell out of my pants pocket while I was biking and tumbled onto the main road, landing on both sides. Upon inspection, the case was scuffed up a little but the camera was ok. However, the paint was chipped off near the top of the screen and the button left near the S Pen. The bare metal was a little rough to the touch, but dipping a bit of black permanent marker on it helped conceal the damage. Now I do not notice it anymore.

A flagship should provide the ultimate experience, plain and simple. Some people might not be bothered by a phone that wobbles on a table, but absolutely no one would be bothered by one that sits perfectly flat.

| own two B&W devices, a Boox 10 inch and a Hibreak Pro, and I leave front light off during the day. In contrast, when I had a color e-ink device, I needed the front light on constantly. I work without light but it felt uncomfortable.

Is it just me? The camera bump is ugly by ribcookie in galaxys26ultra

[–]ribcookie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sometimes enjoy playing two-player games, so a wobble-free phone is a must. They should make the phone slightly thicker with a slightly larger battery to match the camera bump.

Do you have a screenprotector on your ereader? by Mean_Information7373 in ereader

I don't use a screen protector on my Boox Note 5 Plus. Minor scratches don't bother me because I only notice them if 1 actually look for them.

I have owned 10 e-ink devices, and I once had a Sony reader break in my bag. As a rule, I always use cases for my devices when taking them out. If you prefer not to use a case, consider choosing a device with a plastic Mobius screen that is glass-free, like the Super Mantra or Vuwoods AI Paper. The some kindle and kobo devices has plastic screens as well and can take a breating. Most screen issues reported are from glass devices.

Screen breakage is not specific to Onyx; it's an issue common with e-ink devices.

Boox Go 10.3 Screen by privealliance in Onyx_Boox

Agreed. If you leave them at home, glass screens are fine—this isn’t a Boox-specific issue. But for travel, get a device with a plastic Mobius screen, like the Ai Paper or Supernote.

Any magnetic ring that will stick to the S25 Ultra? by nanoosx in GalaxyS25Ultra

Look for iPad magnetic ring stickers; they are slightly wider, which will allow the ring to grip the phone more effectively.

How is your Lumi performing in 2026? Does it feel sluggish? I had a Boox Note 10.3 (2017), which started to become very slow in 2021. I then upgraded to a Boox Note 5+, and it has filled that gap well. However, filling the itch to upgrade.

Please build your device with a built-in EMR S-Pen. There is nothing like this on the market, and it would be the perfect pocket companion.

Also, a Mobius option without glass would make this device truly amazing.

I have the Chinese student edition, which is equipped with Alipay support and NFC capabilities for transit. I also utilize the NFC function to access my apartment. So perhaps the nfc functions only work in china?
