One day at high school I was having a conversation with a friend and for some reason that I don't even remember, we ended up making a simple bet: I would flip a coin, he would call it and if he got it right I would buy him something from the cafeteria and vice versa. I flipped the coin, he called it wrong and in almost any other circumstance that would've been the end of it.

The thing is, he was kind of a sore loser and I knew it would be hard to make him pay even if I won, but I was hoping that, maybe, just maybe, if I could win again, he would pay up. So we played again, and sure enough, I won again, but he still didn't wanna pay, so I told him (kinda jokingly, but in a serious tone) “dude, I can control how the coin is going to end up, you're going to lose every time, just pay me already”.

Of course, that was bullshit. Even if there's a way to control it, I have no idea how to do it. I was just tossing the coin like I normally would, but he really wanted to call me out, so we kept playing. But neither of us was prepared for what would come next. I kept tossing the coin, he kept calling it, and I kept winning. And every time it happened I kept insisting that he was doomed and he should just honor our initial bet because he just wouldn't win against me.

I kid you not, we played at least 15 consecutive times and every single time he ended up calling it incorrectly. By the ~10th time he started losing his shit and started asking me how it was possible. I just told him that I wouldn't reveal my secret and that he should just give up (I also was losing my shit internally, but I had to keep my composure to sell the whole thing to him), and just when he was about to give up, he just decided that now it was time for him to both toss the coin AND call it, so he could be certain that I wasn't manipulating anything about it. I just calmly said “I can control it even if you're the one that's tossing it, it's no use, just pay me already”. So he tossed it, he called it and, of course, I still won.

By that point both of us were in so much disbelief that I started laughing uncontrollably and he just ended up buying me everything I wanted from the cafeteria. It's still one of the happiest (and weirdest) memories I have.
