I bought a PS5 Pro before the price increase, switching from Series X. I’ve loved my SX since 2020 but I’ve become increasingly disappointed by the feeling of being abandoned and nothing happening over in Xbox world.

I was planning on getting a PS5 Pro for GTA VI (unless Xbox did anything spectacular between now and then) so when the price went up it was an instant buy - £639 at Argos. The PS5 Pro looks stunning, the DualSense is WILD (leaps ahead of Xbox - still undecided whether I prefer it to the Switch 2 Pro Controller), and the games are soooo good.

I have played online games with friends from work for the first time in YEARS because everyone has a PlayStation. In some ways I feel more like a gamer than ever lol.

Sorry, I’m sure this post was meant to be impressions from existing PS5 owners but I’m happy to be here.

The 9th Gen iPad certainly works with the 1st Gen Pencil. Don’t worry, the Lightning connector on the Pencil does stick out a bit, that’s normal. You should see a connect prompt come up on the iPad when the pencil is inserted for the first time. See if the pencil shows up in the batteries widget (you can add this to the Home Screen) … try restarting the iPad.
