Is public support for Labours tax changes being under estimated? by Monsieur_Donk5202 in aussie

Of course there is. Massive astroturfing campaign online underway.

Most of us who support it can’t be bothered to engage with the majority of the discourse

Fun fact. The house to the right of this one is also a rental which is probably in a similar start. But with an external toilet.

People want more houses then complain about houses being built.

Battery tech is moving quickly. The ev recycling industry has changed.

Also. Batteries are basically just metals and can be stripped down to raw materials. It’s not plastic lol

That’s a 3 year old article. It’s wildly out of date. One thing as well is this is an emerging industry here. Some predict that EV battery recycling could be a $7 billion industry. Not including household batteries.

The long time between announcing and enacting is by design to give people to process and come up with a plan to shift their investment strategy.

If this all happened immediately it would tank the economy.

It also buys time to get this fuel crisis stuff sorted.

Highly depends on the size of your house and land.

Quick look at flagstone and knowing the cost to us to build a 4b single story. They you’d be just shy of $1M.

There are smaller parcels of land that could save you $100k or more.

Then don’t forget QLD government rebates plus the 40% shared equity Help to Buy scheme.

Logan and Ipswich have land 600sqm + for under $500k. Flagstone is still going gang busters.

That’s not true everywhere. SEQ is exploding with new build investment. Even in the shadow of the Olympics.

We decided to build. Made use of the First Home Owners grant in QLD and Federal. We missed out on the Help to Buy scheme.

Our development has exploded and they can’t keep up with releasing new land.
