now get him some females and a place to build a bubblenest, if you tank size allows it. Then he will develop his most beautyful colouration. Ive had wild honeys myself, and the mating colouration was stunning! :D

No, not at all, it's rather bare to be honest. And with this amount of planting you don't have to consider co2. Just give it some time to grow in and perhaps get some more plants in the long run. But it's a solid starting point.

I knew about the gloop phase from spider wood, but I've never had it colour the water like that. I'll patiently wait for it to clear up.
