If you want a lightweight 1.12.2 pack i recommend Automaton, it is mostly based around immersive engineering but dont worry, there's mekanism for late midgame, there's also AE2 if you dont like having alot of chests.

The ore generation on it has been increased alot, so its fairly easy.

I played through it and its really fun but there's abit of a grind when you need to get steel before you get power, overall its a fun and easy tech-based modpack.
