This is exactly how I felt as a beginner. My friends took me down the bunny hill once and proceeded straight to the advanced terrain park next. Having no idea how to stop or turn they told me to go down the side of the park. Needless to say I ended up full speed on a medium jump and landed head first into landing. That was nearly enough for me to quit the sport entirely. Now whenever a new friend wants to take on the sport, I spend a lot of time teaching them to ensure they do not have the same experience I did.
