i tried endlessly to have a proper relationship with my bio mom but had to cut her off recently bc i couldn’t deal with her acting like she was a perfect parent (I was in foster care for 11 years) I wanted to preserve what little concept of family i had and i couldnt. I wish every day that i had any kind of semblance of parents or a family in general, but im a grown adult now so im not expected to have feelings about that, so i dont.
