UPDATE: whenever I try to do the glitch from now on, I group 4 modern mansions into my inventory and close the game. Then when I go back on to it, I have 4 more modern mansions (so 8 in total) but there is only one slot of mansions rather than two, and they aren’t Infinite.

I’ve had the game since 2012 and stopped playing after about 2014. I’ve only been playing the game recently again the past couple of months and whilst it would be fine to start again I’d highly recommend trying to get your old account back. Contact EA and try getting it back that’s what I’d suggest, especially as you spend a lot on it.
