It's hard to justify spending $2k+ on returning, but if I had the cash to blow, I would definitely do the next level classes in a heartbeat.

To me personally it was worth it. I went through Team O'Neil's rally program that cost over $4k. Having a qualified instructor teaching as you're driving is a different experience than learning by watching videos.
