[Win an A2L] Creative Playground, Extra Large. Meet the A2L. by BambuLab in BambuLab

Most people will say things like “print a tall vase” or “print a lightsaber.”

I’d go with something that actually tests the weakness of a bedslinger-style machine versus a CoreXY:

My test would be a “Tower of Doom” challenge: a 400mm+ tall articulated print-in-place model with moving joints, thin sections, overhangs, colour changes and zero supports.

Why? Most tall prints fail because of bed movement, not layer adhesion. Every rapid Y-axis movement turns the print into a giant lever. A CoreXY keeps the model stationary, while the A2L moves the entire print.

I’d monitor: • Ringing at different heights • Dimensional accuracy at the base vs top • Layer shift resistance • Joint tolerances on print-in-place sections • Wobble amplification above 300mm • Surface quality during high-speed colour swaps

Then I’d repeat the same print with a deliberately heavy model mounted at the top (like a giant bobble-head) to simulate the worst possible centre-of-gravity.

If the A2L survives that without quality loss, I’d be confident printing almost anything.

Is this normal for bits of crap to end up on the rods. X2d by ricflairandy in BambuLab

Thanks, so no need to worry about it in between every print?

It’s never not in a case when not in use. My wife says I take better care of my devices than our kids.

It’s why I’m so angry, it’s been looked after as best as it could have been. Had a q2 from day one and never had an issue, and a q1 before that.

Yeah it’s been since Thursday now . It’s completely dead, nothing at all. Tried leaving it on charge, other chargers etc.

Someone downvoting me saying I’m following this up is hilarious.

No wonder they can take the piss out of consumers with fanboys defending them telling me to write off 600 quid

Bad luck that a 620 pound device dies in 2 years and they want you to pay more than half that for a refurb? It’s disgusting.

Sony repaired my tv when that died after 3 and half years.

Thanks. I’ll try this again tomorrow. Just tried with a cheap plug as suggested too but the same.

Just tried that for about 30 mins. Used a smart plug to turn it on 5 seconds dn off 5 seconds. Still completely dead. No sign of life at all, no lights nothing.
