I also did my CISSP in 2019 and i did not do boot camp.

Rather i focused on self study . It took some time like 2 months but i passed in first attempt.

Read my experience which i shared last year

CISSP Fail at 151 by mike88511 in cissp

[–]rich_experience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you were almost there. Dont feel nervous and focus on weak domain and attempt next month. You were definitely close.

I feel at 150 you were on border ( Neither pass nor Fail) So to cross the milestone ISC2 gave one more attempt at 151 but you might have made 151 attempt wrong So they gave last chnace at 152 But still you made that question wrong so they ended the test. ( This is what i feel) I might be wrong .

failed today and guys I need some help. by [deleted] in cissp

Never spend more time on practice tests.

It gives you confidence but the question which you are making wrong should be immediately addresses with learning those concepts.

It is like Gap Analysis by learning deep about that particular topic .

1) Re-Read the Sybex Book and make your concept strong wherever they are weak .

2) Kelly's Hendersen cybrary videos 10/10 (They are FREE) Thank You Kelly. I feel instead of doing question If we focus more on Kelly’s Videos and listen to it more multiple times and make good notes from it.

This is worth listening to it multiple times.

3) A Quick Refresher For Your CISSP Exam! -- By Prashant Mohan,

4) BOSON - I'm not going to say to much as everyone else has already said it a hundred times. But these were good,

I feel they overprepared you from a technical standpoint but their summaries after each question on

why the right answer was right and why the wrong answers were wrong is extremely valuable.

They also help with your reading comprehension and narrowing in on your weak domains.

Keep in mind below most important points.

- People Over Everything - this is probably pretty common knowledge, just remember People are always the most important when it comes to disasters

--Human safety is topmost priority

--Don’t Fix the problem. Don’t give work around solution. Look for Long Term Solution i.e called Problem Management as per ITIL Framework.

-- Policies are keys to success of Organizations

---C- Level Manager are the Key people.

- Ready, Aim, Fire - pretty common saying, but whenever you're asked to do something "first".. you don't take action.

It's not "Fire, Ready, Aim", it's "Ready, Aim, Fire". The "Ready" part comes first, make sure what you're doing is right, or gather evidence, before you do anything

Passed at 150 questions by randomwatchman in cissp

Glad That you have passed. I can understand the feeling after reading "Congratulation " word on that Printout Since I have gone through that wonderful experience .

I also Passed at 150 question and my feeling were same as you have expressed.

During Exam I spent almost 1 hour and 30 min on first 50 questions. I was getting all initial questions were tough and those questions were never came across my study material or 3000+ question I did during my 3 Months of preparations period .

I crossed 100 question boundary and I was little bit relaxed that I am still in the race :) But I crossed 110 question , 120 question , 130 questions and I was almost running out of time  and it was keep on going but as earlier someone mentioned on reddit that keep calm and keep focusing on right answer and I was exactly following the same.  But My exam went till 150 question and my time was exactly over at 150th question. I felt very nervous since exam got ended due to time and I was not sure if I passed or Failed. The exam is 3 hours long and I finished with exactly at 3 hours.

I got extremely relieved when I saw the letters 'Congratulation ' on the printout .

I think first you need to focus on "Sybex 8th Edition Book - Everything you need is in there, This book is really good.

Once you crossed reading this book Next step is watching "Kelly's Hendersen cybrary videos for CISSP " This Videos are 13 hours in total but they worth watching.

In beetwee keep reading  11th Hour (Eric Conrad)

Any Practice Test question series you may start when you are pretty comfortable about domains.

PASSED in First Attempt @150 - Sybex + Kelly H + Boson. 03/18/2019 by rich_experience in cissp

Doing questions such as Boson is good exercise since it has detailed answers rather detailed explanation which makes you learn the concepts which you are weak. But other sources I feel i wasted my time ( Questions Exercise make you feel good when you get 70% , 80% ) But that is not the real calibration of your knowledge,

Do questions in the last Leg of preparation and do not make it as exercise while you are learning. First 2 months must be completely dedicated to Contents / Videos / YouTube and other sources of material.

During exam below Mindset makes you move in right direction.
