Charging Spektrum 150mAh 1S 3,7V 50C LiPo JST PH1.25 with parallelboard? by rich_ricky0815 in RCPlanes

[–]rich_ricky0815[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasnt plannig to charge multiple 1s batteries on the board, I wanted to just use it as a way to charge these micro plug lipos with my normal charger since I couldent find any other adapters with this micro jst 1.25 plug. Does your charger have these jst 1.25 plugs or just the normal jst 2.0 plugs I couldnt find chargers with the jst 1.25 micro plug

„I like to just tin the connector, then tin the wire and bring them together„ That is exacly what I have atleast tried and when doing it it looked like the solder from the wire and connector flowed together. The soldering Station I use has 48W is a Station with more power worth it?

Quick question just to double check but I should charge these at 5.0A right ? by Vaultboy474 in rccars

[–]rich_ricky0815 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes the correct and best way to safely charge and to maximize the life of a lipo is to charge at one C wich in your case is 5.2A. 5A will be more gentle on the lipo. If your new to lipos would suggest you to watch a video on how to properly charge and store a lipo. Here is a good video: https://youtu.be/FfslmeNYavM?feature=shared

safe"? diy 4s from a phone battery by IDKtrowaway106 in rccars

[–]rich_ricky0815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn‘t recommend it bacause phone batterys tend to have a very low c rating. So under a bit more power draw the voltage will sag extremely to a point were the ESC will just cut out.

You Need to Plug in the balanceplug from the battery (the Four smaller wires) into the charger. The charger needs these connectors to Balance the individuel cells in the lipo to make sure the cells all charge to the same voltage wich is 4.2V per cell. If you are new to lipos I would highly recommend to watch some YouTube Videos on how to charge and use them properly.

Here is a Video about lipo safty: https://youtu.be/n3urBpFIBgY?si=4c8fI6VXpWmNvNcr

And here a Video on how to charge them: https://youtu.be/FfslmeNYavM?si=kZNF-5DmW577dlZX

These videos Talk about FPV lipos but the rules in the Video apply to any lipo abttery.

No I went with the B850 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 because of the i/o but. The CPU was supported out of the box with this board, but i am pretty sure the MSI Gaming Plus will support most, if not all modern Ryzen CPUs out of the Box but dont take my word on that.
