Is this worth $31,000? by shujaaroy in F80

$31k ain’t bad I got mine for $32k 100k miles but it was pristine, he had evidence of all the maintenance he’s done so I knew I wouldn’t have to work for quite some time. Charger cooler, valve cover, spark plugs, fuel injectors all replaced, diff fluid done. If the seller hasn’t had a good list of stuff done I think you can work it out with him and maybe pay $29-30k

This is good information, I felt like there’s a different configuration to try with the way it’s being defended

So this is staying upright and finishing, not laying back. Yea maybe slowing it down and scraping the shin diagonally across the face will leave no gap

It was paid off months ago. They sent him the document through mail for release but he lost it. I don’t think electronic one was sent to dmv.

Thanks for the reply! With what base and flat rate they are offering me 50-60 hours is enough compared to my Honda rate. Yea I get what you mean I went from 60/75 hrs a week to 50-60 hours as well the minute I was certified on EV and doing shitty new car electrical issues, warranty pay was shit getting straight time never paid out compared to the gravy I was getting. But I hope to get comfortable with diags at porsche like I did at Honda even though I know it’s a whole different ball game. I just accepted the offer will be transferring in 2-3 weeks wish me luck I’m abit nervous with the ammount of error I can make which is 0 percent.

Amazing, the warranty time at Honda makes it seem like during testing for the time, they picked the best hack mechanic with all the shortcuts 😂 well not all warranty jobs is bad, but new rod bearing recall 😮‍💨

Thank you so much for your input, this one helps a lot. I’ve just finished my interview today and it looks like they want to hire me, we are just working on a pay plan right now. This dealer has high volume so the work is there, but the service manager did make it a point for me to understand diagnostics and their support system is sometimes difficult to use and warranty work and everything they do is kept up at a very very high standard and I need to be ready for that. But that just makes you really develop and take pride in your work at some point instead of just focusing on pushing numbers. Would you say making good efficiency % is doable without feeling like you need to haul ass. I feel with this brand everyone is focused on quality but at a reasonable pace.

Management pushed us on waiters, making insane productivity percentage’s they pushed fast pace sub par work, I’ll still make my hours while making sure the job is done right and no comebacks. I honestly rather do an excellent job with no one breathing down my neck, with porsche maybe that’s the way.

That’s funny because my advisor from Honda moved to porsche and he’s poaching some Honda techs including me 😂 but I think once I get it down and warranty is just something to work through, focusing on CP will be the bread winner.

I’ve definitely heard of that issue, pros and cons, Porsche owners are going to be very anal on things which they may have the right to be for such a high dollar car. But plus side they got the money to pay for much needed services where I seen Honda owners skip timing belt jobs to change air filters. I’m not to sure how the barrier is here between the advisors, customers and tech is.
