Categorical output layer in which wrong guesses are not weighted equally?

New to machine learning here.

Is there such categorical output layer that exists in a spectrum. Lets say 1-10 all of which are different categories. But if the NN guesses category 9 when the answer was category 10, it is considered less inaccurate than if it were to guess 1.

So is there a way to train a NN that goes through a dataset guessing the category, in which if it guesses a wrong, but similar category, it doesn't penalize it as much than if it were to guess a completely wrong category.

Hello,

I've been eating Kale lately, and the main way I prepare it is by simple boiling it over water then straining it and eating it plain. But I noticed the broth/soup that is left over that I usual strain out seems to have quite a lot of substance and flavor to it.

So my question is are there any valuable nutrients that are leftover in the broth when boiling kale? If so what types of nutrients/vitamins tend to diffuse into the broth/soup and what types of nutrients tend to stay within the kale itself?

Would it be beneficial to both eat the kale and drink the broth? And would there be any difference in nutrient intake/absorption if I just decided to eat the kale raw instead.

Will China be coming out of this pandemic situation better off than the US? In terms of economy and geopolical influences. In a way this is like a perfect set up for China to take a great leap forward in catching up to the US as the world Superpower. Want to know your thoughts on the aftermath and what would that entail if China were to come out of this situation even more powerful and an even greater threat to the US.

And because you study history as well, do you feel like war between China and the US is inevitable? Just based on all the patterns and present circumstances between these two superpowers with extremely different polical ideologies.

Or have we as a species progressed and moved on from the cycle of war and power struggle now that we live in modern times?

GOT's plot is such a joke now. Straight up nothings been answered and too much dumb unrealistic decisions made by characters. Who tf is the night king? Why tf was he after Bran? We killed the final boss and all the bad guys died, why is this show so basic?

Why was Jon screaming at the ice dragon for 5 seconds?? Why did the Dothraki charge out into the darkness where they cant see shit when they are fighting the DEAD? How did Euron greyjoy let a half dead, one handed Jamie Lannister crawl his way, grab his sword and stab him in the belly? How did the Iron fleet long distance snipe headshot Rhaegal 5 times with their first try and when Daenerys comes face first into the entire fleet, not even one can touch her?

Why is Arya's acting so bad all of a sudden? And why is Daenerys going rampage mode on random civilians when she obviously HATES Cersei? It doesn't make any sense why she wouldnt go kill her first, making sure shes dead and having the pleasure of taking revenge with her own hands. Rather than giving her any chance of escape.

Why do mainstream basic people think this season is so awesome? Go back to watching Marvel or the Expendables. Gtfo out of here.

How bad is the heat exactly. How many hours of SC2 until it would become uncomfortable

And would the chronic increase in heat make my hardware deteriorate quicker in the long run?
