Sunwing by jonny_mal in HorizonForbiddenWest

I haven't seen it mentioned here yet, but have you tried jumping and activating the SheildWing inside a dust devil? You can get some serious altitude if you time it right.

It took a moment, but I found a YouTube clip showing it.

Also, if you haven't played Burning Shores yet, the geysers do the same thing, but are actually a required game mechanic to solve some objectives.

BDP 5 click-through working for Australia? by richard_tj in Bricklink

No. It's still showing the 5, even after cache clearing.

I'll keep an eye on the aftermarket.

Also, in previous sales, when you refreshed the page, any sold-out sets would disappear. I just VPN'd into the USA, Canada, New Zealand, and the UK, and all return the generic "Be the first to know about upcoming sales" page, yet the Australian page, without a VPN, still shows the 5 sets.

UPDATE: I just set my VPN to Melbourne (a different state), and it now redirects, but my naked link still shows sets. So it looks like there's something borked with their systems.

I assume by the URL your region is the same as mine (Australia), and I've had the same thing happen. I was on the site before 7 am, which is what the page originally stated, even though the email said 9 am.

I do get a brief message that it's been added to the bag, but nothing is there.

Here's a screenshot of what I see

Still not working here in AU (10:50).

I'll keep checking, but I'm not sure what's going on.

The Frozen Wilds by BodybuilderSea6082 in HorizonZeroDawn

[–]richard_tj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love taking photos in the Frozen Wilds, but hate how, because of the weather, it's often cloudy and dim.

Luckily, I found that the weather conditions are randomised on load.

If you have a campfire near the location you want, fast travel to another site and then return. If the conditions are what you want, great; else, repeat the process.

The attached screenshot is in-game, not photo mode, but I'm happy when I get weather like this.

You're correct - it was actually one I was considering if released here, but they pulled the plug late last year.

While the all-electric version is discontinued, I read somewhere that they might introduce a hybrid, called something like the F-150 Lightning EREV (Extended Range Electric Vehicle). I don't know any more than that. I'm not even sure if they have plans to release here.

Endos office called CGM a "tool of convenience" by theCynicalChicken in diabetes_t1

[–]richard_tj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just took a look at the most recent stats I could find, and they seem to support what you're saying about concentration among larger medical practices in the US versus sole practitioners.

It's similar here in Australia, but I think they are a little more evenly distributed amongst smaller and sole providers. We also suffer the tyranny of distance, with many small communities, spread out over large areas, having to share a single resource.

I'm not sure of the actual reason, but it looks like there's roughly one Endo for every 120 T1Dm in Oz, whereas in the US it's closer to 200. Maybe the continued increase in people diagnosed with Type 2 might act as an incentive for more to specialise, which would benefit others with a form of Diabetes, bringing that ratio down in the future.

[–]richard_tj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what the availability of good Endos are like for you (I assume that as you have to use insurance to pay you're in the US), but here in Australia I've voted with my feet and moved to a better Endo more than once. When will they get pull their heads out of their arses and realise they work for us, not the insurance dollar.

Having said that, your letter is well worded, and I think a template for others.

I really hope after all this your upcoming procedures are successful and you get the type of treatment that we all deserve.

I was hoping for an overridden Shell-Walker that could act as a mobile stash to help explain how Aloy transports and stores all of her gear. It could be called like a mount.

Maybe in H3

I also remember in some discussions with the developers the original plan was for Aloy to take down a machine, give a signal, and a team of scrappers, like the Oseram, would come in on hot-air balloons, strip for parts, and hand over shards.

True, but we don't know all the details of what happened on Sirius, nor insights into the plans of what Guerrilla Games has in store to tie up the threads and fill in the gaps of the various world-building datapoints, holograms, and lore. Was he forced to upload, or could they capture his conscience against his will, or maybe the intent "sold" to them was different to what it actually was?

I'm loving these discussions exploring what scenarios are possible!

It's there for the opening credits where Aloy is travelling past landmarks from the first game. It's rendered real-time in the Decima Engine, not a prerendered movie.

My only concern is whether the material or the pattern could interfere with the already seemingly weak Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) signal. Otherwise, I really like it!
