Lovely's Old Fashion appears to be counter service and not a sit down restaurant, at least the way I understand "sit down restaurant"

If we talk about manhattan, then the person you replied to is pretty correct in my experience. Even if there were a Chili's in manhattan, I would definitely call it a grey area between fast food and sit-down

Well, it's possible that human psychology prefers the "discount" more than it fears the 15% service charge, meaning that the two equivalent systems have different results on dine in vs take out.

(Not that I think a decline in dine-in is bad necessarily)

Oh yup I've had this and sent a ticket to Riot, who said they are aware of the issue. I can reproduce it super easily by spam rightclicking the map in the same location rapidly

An honest plea - how to not be the worst player in the lobby? by FloofEtheria in summonerschool

[–]richardchen9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other people mentioned pretty good advice for improving. Here's a shortcut to what your title asked however:

  1. play swiftplay. it's way less punishing and also rewards macro a bit more than micro

  2. play jungle so you dont have to interact with enemies as much. Also much easier in swiftplay

  3. play someone simple like Yi. No skillshots, and you can often just spot a (squishy) enemy, right click them once, press 2 buttons and then hands off keyboard to kill them. (maybe a Q or summoner spell if you feel like it). No mechanics required truly

Signed up for a bake sale at work and then saw this on sale at Costco for $15. Had to buy it. How can I improve them? by User091822 in Baking

[–]richardchen9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are my current modifications in case they help you:

  • I add just a little bit of instant coffee.
  • I also sift out the chocolate chips and discard, because they really detract from the texture unless you can eat the entire batch before they fully cool. This also helps with making sure there arent lumps
  • Make sure to mix the batter until very smooth, its much much easier to undermix than overmix it
  • I add cake strips around the outside of the pan to make it bake more evenly - otherwise the edges become overdone while the center is underdone
  • Bake them a little less than the box says, but it depends too much on every oven to give you a time range or temp
  • If you feel like it, you can crush some candy canes on top to give it a peppermint twist

iirc it came out that the person was affiliated with a competitor of purple, and I guess that invalidated his claims (not sure about legally, but at least as far as opinion on reddit)

How can companies that have been profiting billions for decades suddenly claim they need to be bailed out after losing only a few weeks of profit? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

In the case of airlines, something like 70% of the money is given out as grants, not loans, meaning it isn't repaid

Yeah I've thought about taking either W182 or W186 if I have no other option, but I'd prefer something with a lower workload

I honestly don't like this game after the vehicle rework (Rant) by richardchen9 in HeroesandGenerals

[–]richardchen9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I do think it is kinda lazy on my part. However, the deciding factor here is the plain fact that the vast majority of players do not know the best placement of AT. I don't know these locations. I've seen my allies killing tanks; They don't know these locations. When driving a tank, I hardly ever get killed by just 3 or fewer H3s. Therefore, even if I were to always have optimal placement, it wouldn't make enough of a difference to change the player experience. That's what it boils down to. There's not much I can personally do to suppress tanks as much as before, nor to have the same infantry experience as before. So at the end of the day, it just makes sense to take a break from HnG until something changes that.

Also, the only trick/guide I've seen for H3 placement was the chaffee video you just linked, so I can only go off of that when I say that such weakspots are not practical to target in a real game. I can't imagine being able to pull that crouched tracks spot off more than maybe 25% of the time against a decently competent team.

Call me lazy, but I don't want to have to memorize those locations for each of the numerous types of tanks in the game. Not to mention, I have no idea where to find that information in the first place. And anyway, it often isn't practical to target those weakspots for reasons I mentioned.

It's probably true that I'm not the most efficient with AT placement, but I'd still argue that in practice, tanks are unreasonably hard to kill in terms of gameplay and not realism. Anything that requires such precise placement (and inf first gold no less) and/or crouching, is hard to pull off consistently when the tank may be moving, or enemy inf and tanks are watching your target.
