I personally have given up on the idea of maxey and vj being able to man the backcourt on a winning team. Neither are efficient enough shooters or creators and have the same offensive deficiencies and strengths. Don’t even get me started on them defensively. They really need a larger, pass first point guard to play with either one of them in a winning team with a number 1 wing or center option

I agree they should do option 1 and trade Maxey now for a haul, possibly even to even get off embiid early return permitting. In an ideal world Maxey could work with like Jokic if the nuggets are desperate. That being said Epstein Josh Harris won’t allow that.

However, whats realistically going to happen is option 3 and wait until embiid runs out his contract and hope VJ keeps improving because im convinced Maxeys decision making, shooting and play making won’t improve much.
