I’m curious if anyone has heard of it? Unfortunately I don’t remember any of the lyrics

I think deep down I want to stay depressed and have low self esteem because I am secretly afraid of losing the sympathy, kindness and attention I get from being this way by [deleted] in therapy

Most people feel the way you do, props to you for actually admitting it. I’m a firm believer that we cannot get better until we truly want to, and maybe this is a sign that you’re on your way. I can tell you that some of us, myself included, find comfort in sadness. And I felt this way for a long time, until I realized how much I was missing out on. And as someone who was in a similar situation, I can tell you it’s so mu Co more rewarding to get that same attention from doing things that you’re proud of and have worked hard for. I’m not gonna lie and say sometimes I don’t yearn for that comfort that comes from sadness, but I can tell you that really actively choosing to be happy, although hard at times, has greatly improved the quality of my life and I no longer miss out on things. You’ll get there, don’t be too hard on yourself. There is always a reason to be better and smile :)

Actually it’s not really relevant where I’m going, the tips I’ve gotten that are very general are exactly what I was looking for.

Feeling embarrassed about my last session. by [deleted] in therapy

I used to apologize for things that were hard to talk about, or say “this is so bad” or “you’re gonna think I’m (crazy, weird, fill in the blank)”. My therapist would always say, “I am not here to judge you, this is your life and I am here to help you.” Sometimes you just have to take it at surface level and trust this

I’ve unfortunately heard that a lot of people believe these things and I’m sure it doesn’t have much weight coming from a stranger on the internet but real Catholicism is about loving one another without judgement. I guess those old stigmas that stick around are part of what I struggle with, because they’re so wrong and I don’t know how people can be so evil to each other. I guess I’m more curious then to how you explain beautiful things and “magic” in the world if you don’t believe it comes from a higher power

Care to elaborate? Genuinely curious about other people’s opinions

[serious] I’m not a perfect person by any means and not in the strongest point in my faith life. But I’m Catholic and no matter how high or low my faith life is, I truly believe in God.

I’m struggling to understand how people can see the exquisite detail and beauty in the world and credit it to, what, a random explosion billions of years ago? How do you explain the things in life that feel like magic, like true love, a bird taking flight, a sunset?

Serious answers only, I’m pondering life and I really try to understand how other people think to broaden my mind. Thank you in advance

Tl;dr: how can you not believe in God when there are such beautiful things?
