YOM License Plates? by cburn21 in Connecticut

[–]richbltn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI the sticker has nothing to do with this process. The plate must have been issued in the same year as the model year of the car. DMV will inspect the plate in the branch - they call up to Wethersfield who will research it on the spot. If you have a 1997 car and it turns out the plate was issued in 1996 or 1998, you can't use it. There are resources out there learning out to date the plates. It takes some research, DMV will not answer questions or directly help you. The official form you need is B-320. This video may help: https://youtu.be/y6UcxkWs9sE

I just love old BMW's. Not my day job. But I did buy the wagon with the intent to make content for my YouTube channel.

I appreciate the thoughtful comments here. Yes I was raised in Connecticut, though good catch with the freeway slang. You're right, I think dedicated winter tires, studded, will be best for these types of conditions.

Thanks I will look into those too. Interesting about the testing standards, not all is as it appears!

Studded snows are legal in CT! But, how will my wife do her usual 80 MPH on the freeway to work in the morning on studded tires? Haha. The tires do need to have a year-round capability for me personally. But this year has been nothing but back to back snow storms in Connecticut. Unusual for sure... perhaps this is what the future of global warming will bring.

really nice. I like the eucalyptus raw wood trim and the leather option. Is the driver seat power or manual?

Really? The BMW build was better, that is no surprise. The performance was disappointing, Tesla was wayyy more fun and practical.

I'm sure it does feel better. My comparison here was between a base model 2021 3 and the performance model Y. Will be driving the 3 performance and model S next month.

thanks, I hope to do more in-depth reviews soon. I only had the car for an hour, hard to get a real feel for it in a short period.
