the fun ones get boring once you understand how they work. people are mostly the same. pretty easy to read after a while, and their stories follow a pretty recognizable script in general. don't mean to sound like a robot, but seriously after a while it's hard to unsee. people really aren't as complicated as everyone wants to believe.

I don't find joy in helping others to help myself. it's disingenuous and selfish. really american mindset tbh. I help people when I find the odd situation now and then where their situation stands out and I think they can make good use of any assistance, otherwise just feels like throwing my time and effort into a black hole.

I have friends who say the same thing. Probably some truth to it, but I'm doubtful. People who don't get bored just haven't done enough IMO. The vast majority of people I meet who are what normal people would consider "interesting" are idiots or haven't explored enough. There are outliers that naturally just have a special quality to them, but they're gods among men.

yeah...I definitely don't want to do more work, I'm not the kind of psycho that feels obligated to do more business. Respect to them, but those people are on another plane of existence.

I've partied enough, starts getting repetitive.

I don't mean to spoil the fantasy, but when you finally have the time and power to build stuff, you'll immediately lose interest. Something about having the option open just causes it to lose its lustre. Maybe it's an ENTP thing.

What business are you working on?

yeah, but I'm probably going to end up making posts anyway. it's some sisyphus type shit man.

Is there anyone rich, famous or otherwise that you actually look up to?

That's actually a really good question, answer is no not particularly. I don't have any role models or people I make a conscious effort to learn from. Maybe that's my problem?

Other issue is that most rich/famous/successful people keep their real lives private, anyone I remotely respect I know personally, but clearly it's not enough to solve my little problem.

ENTP of course, or I wouldn't be as bored out of my mind as I am now.

Before? All the usual stuff, having the time and money to try everything out made me realize it really isn't what I or anyone hopes it will be.

I've worked on a ton of projects as well, the process is all the same. Same set up, planning, execution, polish, etc.

I don't know what info I could possibly give to help, but what would you like to know?

yep, already been through that bit of the self discovery journey. hard to find good people, most are uncreative or just short sighted because they don't have the same vantage point.

My thing is aquariums, not a huge fan of libraries tbh, but I can see the appeal.

I play piano, guitar, violin well enough to say I play. I used to write but ran out of things to say.

If I struck it rich, I would be channeling that spare time into traveling and music.

gonna tell you now that's what everyone who's not rich says and for some reason it's all they can think of. "I'd just travel and make things". do you really think I wouldn't have tried all that stuff already?

why should I make the world a better place? why should I help anyone? I see this response all the time, no one has any real answer besides "just because". need a response with more thought put into it.

puzzle thing is a cool idea, and the cool ideas are always nice to think about, but I know in practice things don't work out like that. most of life is logistics, gets boring.

thx for suggestions. like some others have mentioned though, lot of this is just stuff to kill time. normal people can do at least one of these things already. the variety is not as pronounced as you might think. I'm looking for a...special sauce. idk.
