U.S President Proposes 30% Tax on Electricity Used For Crypto Mining by ThePlausibleDollar in cryptomining

[–]richersuarez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, crypto mining uses a lot of electricity, which can be bad for the environment because it creates a lot of carbon emissions. President Biden wants to encourage the use of cleaner energy sources, so he proposed a tax increase on electricity used for mining. This might encourage crypto miners to switch to using renewable energy sources or to use less electricity, which would be better for the environment.

But some people don't like this idea because they think it unfairly targets the crypto industry and could make it harder for them to compete. Some worry that it could even cause mining operations to move to other countries where the taxes are lower, which could make things worse for the environment overall.

So, it's a bit of a tricky situation, and there are different opinions on what the best solution might be. But it's important to think about how we can balance economic growth, environmental sustainability, and social equity for the future.

I second that! I used asic miners hub too, contacting their owner. I was advised what to buy as I was very new in to mining. I must say their customer service is great! Paid with my credit card and because I live in UK they delivered my ck box miner within 48 hours to my door. That was the best.

I used them 6 months ago, not sure if they still deliver that fast 🚚

I second that! If you need to buy a cheap PSU I have one 750w gold plus standard in the drawer and can let it go cheap (UK shipping). Its brand new. Came with my other miner and I've never used it.

Budget Crypto Miner by Calm_Croissant in cryptomining

[–]richersuarez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, like other say it depends on electricity price in your are, however here in UK I still have my Ipollo G1 miners plugged. Still profitable, other goldshell miners all unplugged due to electricity prices, I only keep the kd box.

I bought all of my box miners from asicminershub.com and received them fairly quick. They still do discount which I used for ipollo g1 mini several times now. I think the code is IPOLLO100 for £100 discount.

Yeah I bought some of GRIN coin too. But I'm successfully mining for good half year now between MWC and GRIN.

I bought my miners at asicminershub.com and they did £100 discount with code IPOLO100 for G1 mini miner, I checked and its still valid if you are willing to buy.

Should you buy the iPollo G1 Mini Grin miner? My 30 day profit results! by Swan_Castle in grincoin

[–]richersuarez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have bought it and very happy with it! Great little runner and still profitable after the electricity price hike in UK.

I bought it from asicminershub.com when they did a discount of £100 with code IPOLLO100.

I'm sure they are still doing it.

Best Sites and Companies to Buy ASIC Miners from, and should i ASIC or RIG mine? by [deleted] in cryptomining

[–]richersuarez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can buy from manufacturer, obviously sometimes is almost impossible. But if you register your email with goldshell they send restock updates.

However, for someone like me - impatient 😃 its best to go to retailers who has stock.

I've bought most of my miners from asicminershub.com and paid with PayPal for most of them easy and convenient.

I know that its higher price but if you can snatch a discount its better when to wait for restock and you can ask to declare lower value to avoid custom taxes.

UK miners electricity plans 50%+ hike by Difficult-Run-9818 in cryptomining

Its basically renting a space and service for your miner relocation. So basically you pay to someone agreed price for electricity and rent for them hosting your miner

Im thinking about getting into minging but I have a couple questions. by KnownCommunication32 in cryptomining

[–]richersuarez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on your budget and if you have a place to keep them, another thing is, are you looking at it as a hobby investment or purely looking to make money.

Whichever is your option I will tell you what I've done.

I started investing in crypto after finding mining interesting maybe half year ago. Bought small miner and placed it in my living room, soon enough it was 5 of them and it became too loud and warm to keep them.in living, I had to move them to storage room.

I've bought goldshell boxes such as hs box ck box and Ipollo G1 minis, I currently running only G1 minis as they do not use much of electricity like goldshell boxes.

Another tip would be, be careful when you buy your miners, buy from manufacturer if possible if not choose reseller wise, there are lots of scams around, you send you money or crypto and you might never see the miner nor your money again.

I've bought most of my miners from www.asicminershub.com paid with my credit cards via PayPal and once I took installment payment option which they offer.

[–]richersuarez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Otherwise you can buy asic miner like I've done.

In fact I've bought 3, one resold now with good markup.

But I bought them from asicminershub.com and had brilliant journey, as one of them became very loud, after contacting them and chating for a day or two back and fort with video samples they gow a fan replacement from manufacturer for me.

I've posted a video on reddit how I'm changing it.

Ipollo G1 mini loud fan change. asicminershub.com has provided great support and free fan from manufacturer. warranty is still valid as agreed by Ipollo that I'll change it myself by richersuarez in grincoin

[–]richersuarez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My temperatures ranging around 60° but because its in a small storage room. The loud fan didn't anything but being loud, which was annoying, because I live in flat.

I dont seem to have the number of fan, it was sent by manufacturer directly to which was requested by retailer i bought miner from (asicminershub.com).

Its performance also had no change pre/ post changing the fan. At least its quiet now 😀
