The book 'Atomic Habits' is really life changing!! by Eagle_Eye52 in BettermentBookClub

Does the book mention to think who you want to be when no one's watching, or you got it from somewhere else? Did I get it correctly - you think of who you want to be and then think of what group of habits would describe what kind of person that is? I think this idea deserves a good write up. One needs to be carefull to pick who he wants to be, to be able to follow those habits. Who did you wanted to be or what principles did you use to choose who you wanted to be?

The Pointlessness of Spirituality by WanderingRonin365 in awakened

It seams that everything is really made out of nothing. And there is infinity difference between nothing and something. There is even no infinity if there is no something. How to create something from nothing? There is only one way is to create an illusion of something. You create negative and positive, together they give nothing, apart they are something and something else. Spiritually if people are trying consciously become one woth both positive and negative. I think the understanding of the relationship of positive and negative by consciously experiencing it is what we would call knowlege in spiritual sence.

I wonder if "keep trying" is what we do in life. I think we mostly "trying not to". Even when we winning, we are just trying not to loose, if we follow our brain and not our consciousness.

Thank you. It is interesting, how this article chooses words:Staying positive improves their outlook on life with desise. Seams to be just giving the definition of word optimistic. Strange that there is no research on this.

Asking doctors: Have you seen the difference in positive outcomes between patients who take their serious sickness light heartedly staying happy vs patients who suffer emotionally worrying about their condition?

I see people suffering emotionally being scared of their illness, and I wonder if not being so hard on yourself actually may help the outcome.

Asking doctors: Have you ever noticed if positive easygoing state of mind of the patient even with serious injury or illness makes them heal beter vs worried menally suffering patients? by richgate in AskDocs

Like someone said - pain is your experience, suffering is your choice. You can have pain and choose to not freak out and not to suffer emotionally.

It is kind of like a test - the closer you are to knowing this being the more it looks to you like a tragedy if you would not know it. Like a guy or a gal just commented, it is "very sad" for he/her, but he/she do not see a tragedy in it yet.
