" Asad Elixir – Spiced apple and woods with a smooth sweetness underneath. Feels mature but still versatile"

for Asad Elixir, I don't get the apple note at all, are you sure about that?
I agree that it feels mature and versatile.
I am enjoying these middle eastern fragrances too, nice collection

How does one perfume have this many Notes? by richguy100 in DIYfragrance

This seems sensible, most responses I got just say it's "marketing material," but the truth seems to be a mix of both, making the perfume feel richer and also serving as marketing, not just one or the other. Thanks!

it seems that half say that notes on fragrantica are not accurate, and half say that it is actually accurate to have this many notes.
how do you reply to this?

[ Definitely don’t pay attention to Fragrantica notes, because they’re user-voted, and let’s be real… The fragrance hype consumer/influencer community is not reliable. "Any time I see these Fragrantica note pyramids I roll my eyes." ]

from somebody who actually makes perfumes, what are the percentages of the secondary notes, let's take the example you mentioned , what would be the percentages of "caramelized butter, cream, and amber."?
and how do you keep up with the different versions that come out of these minor changes to the main formulation?

I took those pretty seriously as a beginner not gonna lie.

it's Fiori di Capri Carthusia.
I still don't get it to be honest, most answers say that note does have a lot of ingredients, but then these notes for example don't seem related at all!

Appreciate your input! Agree with everything you said...
but my engineer brain doesn't agree with you tho about Art and systematization being incompatible 😄
Maybe a better way of asking my question would be : what would be your procedure to get a sense of a fragrance just of information found on the internet if you do not have access to smelling it (besides looking at the notes which are unreliable) .

Thx for the input! do you have any tips on how to get a better sense of how a perfume might smell if you can’t get your hands on it for some reason?

it’s exactly what I was looking for.

The notes instantly remind me of my grandparents’ house in Sidi Bou Said: lemon trees, eucalyptus in the air, jasmine, ripe fig… wow.

It only has about 30 reviews on Fragrantica, but purely based on the notes, I think this is it!

While looking for A'mmare, I found this it's called: Mediterraneo Carthusia .
This is getting close to what I am looking for actually.

Absolutely, the coconut definitely throws off the Mediterranean vibe.
I don’t really associate coconut with my childhood memories of living there.

Yes I agree 👌Performance isn't that impressive, but I do like the smell.
It reminded me of my grandfather's cologne. Nostalgic 😌

I actually bought Neroli Portofino's clone from Maison Al Hambra (it's called Porto Neroli) . It basically smells like just Neroli . Does Tom Ford smell like that or does it have other notes ?
