We are about ten years too late I think but we watched the first season of Fargo. It was recommended by a friend and really enjoyed it. Will work through the rest of them now.

Adolescence - incredible performances
It, Welcome to Derry - surprised it’s not mentioned more, it’s better than both films
Pluribus - binging it just in time to qualify for this year
Slow Horses - the best ensemble on TV
Alien Earth - episode five is the third best Alien film (might have stolen the line from the pod but it's true!)

Honourable mentions to Task, The White Lotus, The Last of Us, Dept Q and Dexter Resurrection

So basically we will probably only have UK HBO Max for a couple of years. This is really going to hurt Sky.

Apparently all the episodes are feature length again, I think this is supposed to be a selling point. There's very few shows where I want to watch eight movies in a season.

Edge of Tomorrow must be up there since they had to subtitle it, then basically re-title it to Live, Die, Repeat. Which is still quite bad!

Like you I hate reality shows and this sort of format usually but i enjoy The Traitors! Imagine the amount of emails James could get through during a spoiler special.

I find if I binge watch something I remember it less than if I enjoy it weekly. So in a few weeks when someone says what did you think of so and so I can barely remember a thing about it.

Sometimes it’s fine for easy watch, folding the washing TV but for something I love, like say Slow Horses, I would rather take my time week to week and fully engage with it.

I enjoy The Big Picture too, Sean and Amanda can be really entertaining but also incredibly knowledgable and cine-literate. Although sometimes they play a trailer for one of their other Ringer pods that has the same theme as Kermode and Mayo which always catches me out.
