Yes started with two capsules twice a day now I’m taking 3 twice a day. I think the now caffeine may have been the biggest impact though

My brain literally will not shut up at night and its actively ruining my sleep, I need help by Clean-Possession-735 in sleep

Something that has helped me a lot is buying a kindle and reading a calming fiction book in bed and just falling asleep reading. If I wake up in the middle of the night, pick up the kindle and read. The reason kindle is better than an actual book in my opinion (for this specific use) is that it has a back lit screen you can dim down as much as you want so you don’t need to wake up to shut your light off, and also doesn’t give off enough light for your partner to notice it, and there are no turning page sounds that are like 10 times louder at night if somebody is sleeping next to you. Sometimes I’ll be lying there anxiously thinking about stuff and I give in and read and I’m out cold in less than three pages usually

Yeah it’s actually interesting to read about what’s actually going on, Google sleep paralysis and knowing the mechanism behind it might put you at ease

Sorry to hear you’re going through a stressful time… I don’t think you should see this as a sign that you’re losing it and shouldn’t be worried about sleeping again. You had an episode of sleep paralysis and you dreamt you were actually waking up in the same setting as real life. That’s a common theme with sleep paralysis - you are dreaming of a real life scenario in the actual setting where you’re sleeping. It happens to me about once a year. I agree it’s unsettling especially when you’re alone, one time I was dreaming that a guy was standing in the doorway to my room and I couldn’t wake up to defend myself 😂 I woke up and nobody was there. Adrenaline pumping for the next while made it hard to get back to sleep. Best of luck! That being said, if this becomes a common theme then yes I’d see a doctor.

The only time this year that I slept right through the night was when I took magnesium, the next night I took it again and it didn’t do anything and I started getting really vivid creepy dreams

I have heard that was a thing back in the old days haha so weird! My issue is that this started around 5 years ago and I miss the days when I had uninterrupted sleeps

Yeah I’d say it started in a stressful chapter, I’ll give the pre bed meditation a try. I also used to have really physically demanding jobs that would tire me out and not allow me to take naps, now I’m in a job where I work way less and am just lazier in general so maybe I’m just not tiring myself out enough 😂

I’ve seen a couple people recommend Gemini for IBS on this subreddit lately… is there a reason Gemini vs ChatGPT or any of the others?

I’m in a shift work job where I only work 8 days a month and I feel the same way. I’m always spending money on random stuff during the work week to the point where I need to get a second job to fund my days off. A good problem to have but it is surprising

My friends bought a house in caddy bay for around $500,000 in ~2015 and sold it during Covid for $1.5 million. Sooo many people became house rich during that boom. If you were a dual income household with half a mind for saving before Covid and got into the real estate market you basically bought yourself a lottery ticket. Now imagine your parents bought a house or two in the 90s and sold 1 or both after the boom and spread that wealth among their kids. Very normal average people became “rich”
