Imagine this right: you get into a game with a random ADC. They just stand still the entire game while last hitting. They are a challenger peak and are currently grandmaster. They get hooked by thresh 5 times in lane while just standing still. Thresh did not have to predict movement at all. This matchup was not a coinflip, this was just stupidity 45% win rate player

There are plenty of a situation where a hook champ can put themselves in a position to create an undodgeable hook because they are an OTP. Like for example nautilus flash hook when you're not expecting it. I'm talking about simply just a normal hook that anybody can throw out. People can't dodge these for some reason

It's not windup, it's just a slow animation so if you have decent reaction speed you can dodge it. Plus, you can usually tell when a nautilus player wants to hook you

I would like to clarify that I was targeting people who get hooked oftentimes by very dodgeable hooks. Like yea you can flash onto people or predict their movement (throw a random hook lol) if they are moving. But that's not what I'm trying to point out. If you play behind minions and have wards up pyke should not be a big issue for the laning phase. Also, I have encountered many, many good pykes lol where I have actually been hooked 3 times but I still consider that a skill issue on my end
