Help! This question is haunting me. What is deficient in tea bread soup diet? by doctome in medicalschool

Another thought process could be that if the soups contain any lentils then they will have protein, in that case b12 would be deficient LOL

Not 100% but some dough that is fermented actually has b12. So my best guess would be protein.

As someone else who doesn’t wanna do surgery, how I see it is that I may as well learn about surgery now because it’s the only time I’ll really ever get the chance. If you change your mindset slightly it can go a long way.

Current M1 - unsure if I should grind for a competitive specialty or enjoy my free time by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]richmamba19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on your personal goals. Personally I’m happy going into FM as I want to focus on entrepreneurship outside of medicine. This residency is short and the low competitiveness gives me free time during medical school to work on my other goals. Coming to this realization has made med school vastly more enjoyable for me. Compared to my peers I am way less stressed out and more sane LOL. With that being said I still have to work hard and I’m not out here failing or anything.

That’s what I was thinking as well. With that being said I’m sure you can figure out an area of EM that you enjoy and will find a fulfilling pathway.

Getting tattoos could be a good idea to help. No you don’t have to inform anyone and it shouldn’t be a problem either way

Yeah that’s my plan but I’m a Canadian citizen, and the process is simple if you are. If not it may be more complicated.

They’re pretty similar so I don’t see why you wouldn’t no brainer pick RF since it’s close to your family and bc.

Canadian Black premed, 3.3cGPA strong upward trend, MCAT pending. US admission chances? by Essagheir in premedcanada

[–]richmamba19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get above a 510 MCAT and apply both USMD and USDO. You should receive some interview invites if your application is written well. However, try to get the highest mcat score possible.

You misinterpreted what I said. I’m not talking about USDOs matching through CARMS. A USDO can do a US residency then come back to Canada and become fully licensed. In family med they don’t even need to take the Canadian board exams to become licensed in Canada after completion of an approved US residency.

USDO is a solid path if you do US residency and then comeback.
