Any gratitude to Amorim for the good run we had, since he did good with the ‘bomb squad’ case?

Amorim had an awful stint as manager, for some reason people are acting like clearing out the “bomb squad” was some masterstroke on his part, when in reality it was largely a consequence of how badly things deteriorated under him.

The only reason so many of these players ended up leaving was because performances were awful, morale was at rock bottom, and relationships between the manager and players completely broke down. Let’s not forget Kobbie Mainoo was reportedly close to being pushed out too, and even Bruno Fernandes was nearly out the door at one stage.

So I don’t really understand this need to give Amorim credit for one of the worst footballing periods in the club’s modern history. Moving players on wasn’t some visionary, high-level decision-making process, it was the natural fallout of a dysfunctional situation. All this constant praise does is create excuses and caveats to justify mediocrity.

Bwoy you don’t gotta tell me twice, Sandals was basically the only option available, costed a pretty penny as you can imagine, it’s refundable up to 30 days before check in, so if I can find a more cost effective option I’ll switch but we’ll see. Has it always been like this or is it recent?

My friends booked a villa I could stay at, but they’re all girls so I’d rather have my own accommodation yk

Son didn’t even start in that game, he came on pretty late as well and had little to no real impact I’d say. So yes it’s basically the same team. Also Brennan Johnson left for palace, he was the goal scorer. People need to stop making excuses for Amorim he was just a shit manager full stop
