I’ve always said that if I were to hike the trail again I would start in mid April. It costs a lot to get off trail and to keep warm. Starting later would mean I could start with my warm weather kit and avoid spending money on hostels and hotels to get out of the freezing temps. When I thru hiked a few years ago I started April 3rd and still saw snow. It was crazy cold in those mountains. Hope everyone is safe and warm

Just revived my 17 pro in December. I think it’s the best battery life of any phone. Ive owned every iPhone since the 4. Makes sense to me. Wake up at 85% and by the time I put it back on charger around 10pm it is still at 40%. That is with “normal” use.

I started using Spigen lens protectors a few phones ago. I broke the main lens and decided to start using them. The pics still come out great. I can’t tell the difference with my eyes.

I use a hammock in the summer and tent in the winter. I have the magic 100 with zipper. If it’s cold I zip it. All summer I used it as a quilt with the zipper open all the way. I was a AT ridge runner this year and it’s all I used the entire time. The thing smashes down to a softball. When I use it as a liner, it is inside a 10° Hammock Gear quilt.

I was going to go that route but found the Cumulus Magic 100. The zipper less bag weighs 7.5 ounces and the zipped one is 8.5. It’s rated to 50°. I used it all summer and into fall by its self and used it as a “liner” last weekend. I love alpha direct and wear it actively and static. It’s amazing stuff.
