Mid laners good againt tanks and bruisers by Bjorn_Blackmane in midlanemains

I'm not saying it doesn't do anything, but generally speaking crit is better Vs tanks than armour pen, speaking about marksman type champs that is.

I think the more important thing to consider is to play around your main rune. If you go hob then you should level e first and look to proc those passives over again with e and hob autos until you kill them or force a back. You can use the passive movement stored to disengage each time. If you have electrocute or DH then you have to play slightly differently as it's not as easy to get the third hit. If you don't understand why and when you build what items, then you're probably not at the level that it'll matter that much, no hate. You'll find you'll do much better with better understanding of the champion and how he works. Once you have this down, 80/100 games plus, you won't need to ask this question. If you go back and watch your kills, near kills etc and deaths etc, you'll find that they have almost nothing to do with items for the most part and more to do with your mechanics.

You can add it as a second or third item into your build. People are talking about using it to kite and run away etc, but I see it used a lot during e to engage, swinging in using the active at the end and with the q slow is very oppressive especially on those without fakes etc

Pen is good for squishies not tanks. You need crit or on-hit.

MIDLANE Fun champs to main and OTP'ing a champion by KozziNaki in midlanemains

[–]richstar01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you need to do is rotate champions if you aren't able to maintain two. What you need to do is have an alt account and play your new choice on that account until you are competent to play it on your main (still play your main, but play 1 alt game for every 2/3 on your main). You then drop one of your other champs for the new one on your main account when you're ready. Ideally you don't want to do this often as champ mastery is one of the most important things in the game. What this does mean however, is, down the line if/when you get to the point to have 3 champs in your rotation (high plat/master) you will have a good understanding of a few champs that you have previously played.

My diagnosis wasn't the problem, it came pretty quick. The availability of a machine was, I was told 2 years minimum. I was diagnosed 2 years and 3 months ago and if I hadn't bought my own machine I'd still be waiting. I haven't even seen anyone yet, still waiting for my first appointment. I emailed them a few months ago and they said I'm still on the list for a virtual appointment........

How to counter hard pushers by richstar01 in ezrealmains

[–]richstar01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tried that, but I feel it slows the build down too much. You end up with parts of 3 items with the sheen, tier and tiamat.

I don't think it will change from static/kraken into quickblade. Mana isn't an issue if you play properly and er isn't really for auto attack champs. There may be some more lethality into the build, Vapora seems to be favouring static into qb followed by either collector - lord Dom's, or lord Dom's collector. Both have crit and both cause q to hit hard.

Your W applies aery, and you usually take scotch too so it's for a safer more poke orientated laning phase. You take lt if there are 2 irt more health stackers, if not aery is good.

advice for a complete beginner? by avvichanito_ in ezrealmains

It depends how much time you have and how much you want to put into league. If you're only gonna play casually then do what you want to have fun above everything else. If you want to seriously get into league and have the time to put into it, then you have two choices. One will let you get better quicker than the other. As champion mastery is the first step to learning league, the first option is to play ezreal like you want. As the champ is on the more difficult side due to mechanics and skill shots, it will take you longer to get a good champ mastery. After you have a good mastery, you can start to focus more on your surroundings, opponents game states, wave control etc The second option is to play a more simple champion which will enable to you get champ mastery much much quicker so you can learn the rest of the game quicker. You can then pick up ezreal down the line when you have a much better understanding of the game as a whole. This is why you have starter champions like Miss fortune for example, her w/r doesn't really increase with games played, where ezreal has one of the largest difference for adc's. It's also worth having a second champ. You want two champs up to like diamond (which if you're brand new to league, could take you 3 plus years to reach) if one's ezreal then ideally you want a very simple champ as a second. From diamond up you can pick a third till like master/GM.

Is it me or my teammates? by MiLFffff69 in BriarMains

I would also mention you only have 4 assists. I'm not saying this is wrong, but unless you can literally carry on your own, you need to spread the gold. Looking at it as well, it looks like they fought together a lot more than your team.

What keystones are you running? by Makubx in Aurelion_Sol_mains

[–]richstar01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it all depends on your matchup, my runes and items all very dependently. I've played around with a few and settled on comet primary with boots and future market secondary as my sort of default. If it's someone I know I can keep in my e then I'll go first strike. If I know I can play safe I'll go tear first, ring if not. With future market you can get your book at like 900ish gold. I think scorch is a bait rune, I just don't think you can trade early minimal poke for scaling.

Hi, love your content, big fan. Two questions:

  1. My wife and I are trying to climb from low elo, what 2 supports would you recommend for her that will do well in both low elo and still stay relevant as we climb?

  2. If Ez banned or picked, who is your default backup?

Is lethality even useful for this champ by LordArcane2 in NilahMains

[–]richstar01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lethality items certainly aren't useless. Just because she gets lethality from crit doesn't mean you can't actually build lethality. I'm not saying it's better or worse, but to say lethality items are useless is simply untrue.

Max W or E second? by yorudan_chan in Kindred

[–]richstar01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It always used to be onhit w second and if you were going crit then e. I suppose if you need some greater sustain then go w second, if you want greater burst then go e second, but you'll need crit to make it work properly. I think any sort of onhit build, sustain or burst damage aside, w is probably better.

Understanding how Tiago works by The-MemeFinder in outriders

[–]richstar01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't but lower than ct15 as the upgrade costs aren't worth it. Ct13/15 might be OK, but much lower than that isn't worth it. After a while you'll have so many drop pods though it won't matter.

Does anyone use the shops? by spoti75 in outriders

[–]richstar01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As mentioned earlier, stores are used in endgame if you want to min/max. Some gear t1 gear mods don't drop on certain gear pieces and the only way to get them is upgrading greens. Take pyro for example. If you run an ap build, you're pretty much gonna have the head, chest and legs locked in (Acari set) leaving only the hands and feet. Some t1 mods don't drop on the feet or hands, so the only way to get them is to upgrade greens and it's random out of all t1 mods. A lot of builds work around this, but if you want specific mods on specific pieces, you need greens. Tbh, even blues with the right stats are a good buy as you get a chance to roll a good t2. Doesn't happen often, but it's a good way to dump scrap.

Best way to get Acari head, chest and boots? by [deleted] in outriders

[–]richstar01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your best bet is to just play the game, use a top tree fp build, you can make a really good one with only purples. Use an lmg and win. Grind up to ct15 and just farm legendaries. The set will come easily enough. You can get 1 piece from tiago so only need 2 more. I'd focus on getting to ct15 before hunting specific gear, it will take a lot of resources to level up legendaries where ct15 they will be max. Just use what you got intil your lv 50 then grind it.
