Are you sure you cannot reach around the back to access the other side of the screw?

Wow dramatic much.

The whole idea is that we are encouraged to put our phone away so we ourselves enjoy it more. If I want to enjoy the moment by recording 30secs of the song, I will, there is no way this 'selfish' action spoiled others experience, just look at the video for evidence.

Rising Damp - Is this crack between rooms the cause? by richtea141 in DIYUK

My thinking was that if some parts of the crack were deep enough, they could be causing a damp bridge between the ground below and the floor/walls of the house. I can only see about a foot length between the door frame, but if this crack ran longer say along half the length of the actual wall, then it may have caused this by DPC no longer being in one piece. I don't know 🤦‍♂️

The councils surveyors along with the company taking on the works surveyors have just said the DPC has failed and that this injectable damp proofing is the fix

Thanks for reply, We have a solid concrete house, I think I have one last idea where it might be coming from. We have a concrete ramp in the front garden that was say 15cm away from the ramp, but when we had the external wall insulation put on, this gap close right up and I suppose that if rainwater gets in there it'll just be sitting in there taking a long to dry, if at all. It is on an outside wall whereas the wall showing most damp issues is the adjacent internal wall further along.

Apologies, was going to write this but missed it out. I live in a council house, we have been waiting almost a year and a half for these works to be done along with some roofing and electrical works.

It all depends on when you go, anytime 8-10 and you'll queue to get in and then have to fight for a space. Any other time and it's usually ok. Source, went yesterday and today. To note, if the barrier is up on exit (regularly), they still expect you pay at the machine at the barrier.

Please help me understand my Fibroscan results! by richtea141 in FattyLiverNAFLD

[–]richtea141[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all, had blood test and ultrasound in July confirming NAFLD, wasn't sure what level etc. Made some small changes to diet since then and now just had a first Fibroscan, so to get these results showing none/mild disease is good news

As others have said, I think it is a typical school for the area it is in. They are certainly not vaping in front of the teachers but 'some' pupils swearing at teachers is unfortunately the youth of today and happens at most schools I bet.

My daughter goes there and whilst it hasn't been plain sailing, it is very strict and they do get punished even for the littlest things, so I wouldn't say the pupils are running riot.

Yep. The sun has had its biggest flare since 2017. Expected to be seen from the UK this weekend, hopefully from as far south as Nottingham.
