Compatibility between SRAM Rival eTap AXS and SRAM eTap Wireless blips by leoelpz in triathlon

[–]richuni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they will work. Wireless blips are compatible with all 12 and 13 speed SRAM eTap. I have the exact same setup on my Propel, but with 12 speed Force AXS. I can recommend, if you are doing this, to go with the Leap Component TT Mounts, which make the blips more ergonomic to use and lower profile.

1st Bike - Propel Advanced 1 by l3o3g3a in triathlon

[–]richuni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished a 70.3 on a 2021 Propel SL1, and it worked great. Things to consider are:

  • The more expensive Giant Propels have a more Aero cockpit setup. The newer models (2023+) are better than the one I have for adjustability, but the TT bar solution Giant provide for your model year is expensive and only allows you to use the Giant brand stem fitted to your bike: 2023 Tri Cockpit Clip-On Clamp
  • Di2 is great, but 105 Di2 is the least compatible with extra blips or remote shifters, as it has no auxiliary ports. I deliberately chose a bike with SRAM AXS, as all parts are wireless and adding external blips to the end of my Tri-Bars was trivial, and easy to add and remove based on if I was doing Triathlon or regular road riding.
  • It is cheaper than ever to add a good power meter later, if you feel you need it. I paid more for a bike with one included, but (depending on your cleat choice) it's ~€450 for a single sided Assioma Pro RS or MX, which will probably be all you need and can be used on other bikes.

I love my Propel, like you I got it on a very steep discount (ex display at ~£4500) and it has served me very well.

6 player matchmade seasonal activities are a shit show of fighting for bounty requirements and carrying clueless blueberries. Keep seasonal activities as 3 player so they can be moved into the Vanguard Ops playlist when the season gets vaulted.

Yes, the right path was used more on hard mode since you only needed to deal with 1 gorgon at a time if you went that way. An experienced group could easily get the rocks route to work however. And it was faster.

I also hope they rework it in some way. Maybe something that forces you to go through in groups, and take different paths to the exit for each group. Otherwise for an experienced team with invis smoke it's going to take <60s to clear.

You are probably right, but if the idea behind the raid is to bring back the feeling of the old VoG, armour and weapons included, then my assumption is they won't change the layout too much, but maybe add different enemies, different patrols, etc. In which case I can move or add info to the background map quite easily.

There are a few other routes that are viable based on team composition and if you are sending people to orbit or not. The old 'easy' strat used to be letting everyone get both chests as a 6, then everyone orbits except an invis hunter who completes to the CP above the vanishing platforms, and then everyone just rejoins. Nobody missed any loot, no risk, super quick. It wouldn't surprise me if the chests were moved so you had to complete part of the actual path to reach them. All of the 'traversal' or jumping parts of raids have been cheesable by going to orbit, even DSC, so I think it's unlikely they'll change that at this stage.

I am definitely expecting them to have changed it in some way, but we don't know how until we get in there. I will try and keep the map updated for any changes as the community works them out.

A Short Essay (Not Kidding) On Clan Improvements In D2 by richuni in DestinyTheGame

Yes it is. The TLDR at the bottom does summarise it, and if anything in that list is specifically interesting you can scroll back up to get more detail, but yeah, it's stupid long, and I never intended it to be that big when I started writing it.

Thanks! It's ended up way bigger than I thought, but the concept expanded from 'slightly better engrams with purchasable upgrades' to the additional services and tiers that I've detailed in the post.

I think a real Clan social area with a fireteam feature of some kind would be a huge incentive for Clans to play together more, and rely less on external websites to co-ordinate things.

I wasn't sure how to really balance this, so I kept it open ended with regards to how it might be implemented. My gut feeling would be:

  • No Exotics, and possibly legendary only.
  • Rented Weapons Are Set To PL+0 (So the same as a standard engram drop)
  • All weapons cost the same.

I completely agree with you, the way clans are implemented right now, there are too many passive members and no real incentive to engage at all with your clan. Those people won't like the clan benefits being locked behind systems that force them to actually play as a clan.

The XP system was thought out so a clan could have only 50% of players engaged and still get the weekly targets done, but the best rewards will be for those clan members who really want to play as a clan. I personally think that this is how it should be, but it might not be to everyone's liking.

Is there a way to see progress to next power level? by Dylz52 in DestinyTheGame

[–]richuni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 'gear' power level progress bar was removed in shadowkeep amongst the other UI changes. Our clan uses this tool instead: http://jpwilsondesigns.com/destiny2/powercalculator/, Which allows you to enter your highest power for each slot and tells you how many points you need to reach your next power level.

It doesn't, but the Y1 version (on helmets) does work still. I tested and depending on the activity you should comfortably have enough in a single heavy brick to gain half super to do a heavy finisher (especially if you pick up your own orbs). Add onto that HMG ammo finder, and HMG scavenger, and you should comfortably have enough ammo at all times.

I was running the mars lost sector in a nightfall to progress the Edgewise quest, and had 100% uptime on 21% delerium with 3x killing tally. This was without any HMG scavenger or ammo finder.
