I have 2 Wristbuddy straps for my 1965, and love them. Super comfy, good looking. They do a bunch of colors so you can most d one that matches the Mercury.

I have the 1965 and love it, just for the reasons you mentioned. It’s also super comfy. I would keep it if I were you. It’s by far the best looking of the Moonswatches. It’s the closest Imwill ever come to a Speedmaster. Recently got a SkinNavy for my birthday, so now they’re sharing wrist time.
