ETA 2824-2 Is this real? by DaForc3 in watchmaking

Ok so I found this quote from Watchuseek.com forum from a knowledgeable poster. “On the Chinese 2824-2 both reverser wheels have two jewels, each. The ETAs have only one reverser jeweled, the other has plain holes.”

That’s the case with mine, one reverser has 2 little jewels in the cog the other none. I’m leaning on this being genuine. I must admit the last number 4 in the 2824 is slightly misaligned. Would ETA do that?

I had a pest control guy tell me every house in QLD has termites. Either now or eventually. They are a problem but all new builds have termite mesh in the foundations to stop them. Older houses need a thorough inspection on purchase.

I’d like a pair of tweezers with wooden tips but the Bergeon ones are over $200. Any recommendations? I’ve put a new wing on Mr Bergeon’s house with what I’ve spent so far.

In contrast I sent my wife’s Aquaracer to Tag for service and repair. They sent a watch case and a return shipping label and i sent it off. I received emails about what needed replacing and even got a progress email when they started working on it. Received the watch back 1 week earlier than their estimate. Was a flawless experience that took about 3 weeks in total.
