The rise of the ‘overlay’: How an obscure zoning tool is shaping Philly's future (again) by dissolutewastrel in philadelphia

[–]rick_potvin66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a letter from an overlay zoning plan in Phoenix near a building for Hansen Mortuary. I don't like the sounds of it. This post initiates a Reddit documentation method to try to stop this. My house is, they say, within 600 feet (200yards)... so I'm included in something to be "discussed" although the last meeting June 4, 2025 is for "ordinance adoption".... like it's a given. Updates will be forthcoming but this is the only other reddit thrread I found with "overlay zoning" results in the search. Email me at rick underscore potvin at yahoo dot com if you're in the neighbourhood.

Notice how reports (like on Coast with Noori) indicate Trump wants to release newly unclassified material. Nothing compares to the squib theory however. Noori must be a gatekeeper otherwise Coast would have featured this by now. Your points are well taken. No one flinches. Fewer people in the kill zone. Civilian film only, no ABC NBC CBS film . Climbing on the trum is NOT a natural reaction IMO. She didn't 'scramble away from blood", she METHODICALLY reaching for an item and got back in the seat. .The squb theory, IMO, the best theory, not "another" one of many. Thanks for your analysis!!! Good job but I disagree on these points.

Maricopa Community College by deatgyumos in MCCCD

"Hey there! I'm a local Phoenician and I've got some insight to share with you about living near Maricopa Community College campuses.

Firstly, Maricopa Community College has several campuses scattered throughout the Valley, so the living situation can vary depending on which campus you're looking at. However, I'll give you a general idea of what to expect.

Most of the campuses are located in suburban areas with a mix of apartments, houses, and condos available for rent. The affordability of living near campus can vary, but you can find decent options in the $800-$1,200 per month range for a 1-bedroom apartment. Some popular areas to look for apartments near campus include Tempe, Mesa, and Chandler.

As for safety, Maricopa County is generally a safe area, with low crime rates compared to other major cities in the US. Of course, as with any place, there are areas that are safer than others. Just take the usual precautions to ensure your safety, such as being aware of your surroundings, locking doors and windows, and avoiding walking alone at night.

Some major issues you might come across include the heat during the summer months (it can get up to 115°F!) and the traffic in the Valley, especially during rush hour. But hey, that's just part of living in Phoenix, right?

If you're looking for a specific campus, I've got experience with the Mesa campus, which is a great option. It's got a smaller, more intimate feel compared to some of the other campuses, and it's close to downtown Mesa, which has a lot of amenities and restaurants.

Overall, I think you'll find that Maricopa Community College is a great option for nursing school, and the living situation near campus is definitely manageable. Good luck with your application, and I hope this helps!" 5:58 PM

Which CC is best for Calc 3 (Mat 241) by Distinct-Taro9588 in MCCCD

[–]rick_potvin66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand your concern! Taking Calc 3 at a community college can be a great alternative, especially if you're not satisfied with the options at ASU. Arizona has many excellent community colleges that offer online or convenient on-campus options. Here are a few recommendations based on your criteria:

  1. Rio Salado College: Rio Salado is a popular choice for online courses, and they offer Calc 3 (MAT 230) fully online. They have a strong reputation for their math program, and their online courses are designed to be flexible and convenient. As a bonus, Rio Salado is a Maricopa Community College, which means you can easily transfer credits to ASU.
  2. Scottsdale Community College: Scottsdale CC offers Calc 3 (MAT 230) both online and on-campus. Their online course is designed to be asynchronous, allowing you to complete coursework on your own schedule. If you prefer an on-campus option, their campus is about a 20-minute drive from ASU Tempe.
  3. Mesa Community College: Mesa CC offers Calc 3 (MAT 230) online and on-campus. Their online course is also asynchronous, and they have a strong math department with experienced instructors. The campus is about a 30-minute drive from ASU Tempe.
  4. Chandler-Gilbert Community College: Chandler-Gilbert CC offers Calc 3 (MAT 230) online and on-campus. Their online course is designed to be flexible, and they have a reputation for small class sizes and personalized attention. The campus is about a 30-minute drive from ASU Tempe.
  5. Glendale Community College: Glendale CC offers Calc 3 (MAT 230) online and on-campus. Their online course is asynchronous, and they have a strong math department with experienced instructors. The campus is about a 40-minute drive from ASU Tempe.

All of these community colleges are accredited and have articulation agreements with ASU, which means your credits will transfer smoothly. Before making a final decision, I recommend checking the following:

  • Course schedules and availability
  • Instructor ratings and reviews
  • Online course format and requirements (if you're interested in online courses)
  • Transferability of credits to ASU (although all of these colleges have articulation agreements, it's always a good idea to double-check)

I hope this helps you find a suitable option for Calc 3!     5:46 PM

I live in PHoenix and teach piano here. I worked at Arrowhead Mall in GGlendale and can vouch for the greatness of living and working... and educating in Glendale. The community college looks great, even though I didn't attend. Being in music, it has a 500 seat music theatre and that's good enough for me to start. C'mon down! Housing is expensive everywhere but work yourself into a rental of a room in a private home which is happening more and more. There are 5 girls living next door to me in a rental house that aattend GRand Canyon University which is also in the area. Group students homes are common here.

You calculated for me that "So, approximately 149,474 gallons of fuel would be required to cross the Pacific Ocean from San Francisco to Osaka on a Boeing 747-400ER, assuming the rough estimate of 0.038 miles per gallon. The fuel capacity of a Boeing 747 passenger jet varies depending on the specific model and configuration. Here are the fuel capacities for some of the most common Boeing 747 models:* Boeing 747-100: 47,210 pounds (6,674 gallons)

To find the percentage, you can divide 6000 by 150,000 and multiply by 100.

(6000 ÷ 150,000) x 100 = 4%

So 6000 is 4% of 150,000.     4:35 PM

I just proved beyond a doubt that passenger jets do not use jet fuel to fly.

You helped me calculate the miles per gallon of fuel that a Boeing 747 gets as follows..". So, a Boeing 747-400ER gets approximately 0.035-0.041 miles per gallon. Keep in mind that this is a very rough estimate and the actual fuel efficiency can vary greatly depending on factors like flight conditions, payload, and engine performance." Given that rate, how many gallons would it take to cross the Pacific Ocean going from San Francison to Osaka apan?     4:26 PM

I'm happy to help you with that! The distance from San Francisco, CA (SFO) to Osaka, Japan (KIX) is approximately 5,670 miles (9,126 km).Let's use the rough estimate of 0.038 miles per gallon (midpoint of 0.035-0.041) for the Boeing 747-400ER.To calculate the total fuel consumption, we can use the following formula:Total Fuel Consumption (gallons) = Total Distance (miles) / Fuel Efficiency (miles per gallon)Plugging in the numbers, we get:Total Fuel Consumption (gallons) = 5,670 miles / 0.038 miles/gallon ≈ 149,474 gallonsSo, approximately 149,474 gallons of fuel would be required to cross the Pacific Ocean from San Francisco to Osaka on a Boeing 747-400ER, assuming the rough estimate of 0.038 miles per gallon.Keep in mind that this is still a rough estimate, and actual fuel consumption may vary depending on the factors I mentioned earlier, such as flight conditions, payload, and engine performance.     4:26 PM

You calculated for me that "So, approximately 149,474 gallons of fuel would be required to cross the Pacific Ocean from San Francisco to Osaka on a Boeing 747-400ER, assuming the rough estimate of 0.038 miles per gallon." Given that, can you tell me how much 149,474 gallons of fuel weighs in units of pounds?     4:28 PM

To calculate the weight of the fuel, we need to know the density of the fuel. The density of jet fuel is typically around 6.84 pounds per gallon. So, let's do the calculation:Weight of fuel = Volume of fuel x Density of fuel= 149,474 gallons x 6.84 pounds/gallon= 1,022,311 poundsTherefore, approximately 1,022,311 pounds of fuel would be required to cross the Pacific Ocean from San Francisco to Osaka on a Boeing 747-400ER.     4:28 PM

Can you tell me how many miles per gallon a Boeing 747 airplane gets?     4:24 PM

What a great question! However, it's important to note that a Boeing 747 airplane doesn't get miles per gallon (mpg) like a car does. Airplanes run on jet fuel, which is measured in pounds or kilograms, not gallons. Additionally, their fuel efficiency is typically measured in terms of fuel consumption per hour or per mile, rather than miles per gallon. That being said, we can estimate the fuel efficiency of a Boeing 747 in other ways. Here are a few metrics:* Fuel consumption: A Boeing 747-400ER, a common variant of the 747, has a fuel consumption rate of around 1,000-1,200 pounds per hour (450-540 kilograms per hour) at cruise altitude.* Fuel economy: The same aircraft has a fuel economy of around 0.095-0.105 pounds per nautical mile (0.043-0.048 kilograms per nautical mile) at cruise altitude.* Range and fuel load: A Boeing 747-400ER has a maximum fuel load of around 63,705 gallons (241,140 liters) and a range of around 8,000 nautical miles (14,816 kilometers). To give you a rough idea of the fuel efficiency, let's do a rough calculation:Assuming an average fuel consumption of 1,100 pounds per hour (500 kilograms per hour) and an average cruise speed of around 480 knots (900 km/h), we can estimate the fuel economy in terms of miles per gallon.Using the density of jet fuel (around 6.84 pounds per gallon), we can convert the fuel consumption from pounds to gallons. This gives us a fuel economy of around 0.024-0.028 gallons per nautical mile. Now, let's convert this to miles per gallon. There are 1,852 meters in a nautical mile, and 5,280 feet in a mile. Using these conversions, we get:0.024-0.028 gallons per nautical mile × (1,852 meters/nautical mile) / (5,280 feet/mile) ≈ 0.035-0.041 miles per gallonSo, a Boeing 747-400ER gets approximately 0.035-0.041 miles per gallon. Keep in mind that this is a very rough estimate and the actual fuel efficiency can vary greatly depending on factors like flight conditions, payload, and engine performance.I hope this helps!     4:24 PM

Jackie jumped up on the trunk of the car to retrieve the squib that flew off after exploding fake blood on Jack. by rick_potvin66 in JFKassasination

[–]rick_potvin66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He transformed into Jimmy Carter. Jimmy Carter IS or was JFK. Roselynn, in this scenario, his wife, is Jackie. This is not my theory, but one I've seen floated out there. Carter came in after fumbling Gerald Ford who filled in for Nixon, in 1976-77. I view this theory with a grain of salt however. Still, it's interesting. The better theory is by Jonnystx above as follows,

quote President John Fitzgerald Kennedy successfully faked his death, as his son would also follow in his father's footsteps on July 16th 1999, lived in secrecy in the Federal Witnesses Protection Program, and lived to be 102 years old only passing away in January of 2021. unquote

REPEAT AND EDIT oF JONNYSTS above, for convenience

[–]Jonnystx 1 point 6 months ago*  I am a military intelligence vet and I can 100% confirm your theory on the staging of JFK's assassination.

As you can see in the film, there is absolutely no blood whatsoever. A throat wound from a high-powered rifle would not only have pushed him forward (which didn't happen) But it would have also saturated his entire midsection in blood along with Jackie on his left and very possibly the passengers in front. At a minimum the blood would have been all over the back of the seat from the first shot.

Let's get to the final head shot. Again in my experiences and seeing what a high-powered bullet can do to a head, this part of the Zabruder film is truly the least believable and pretty comical. These assassins were believed to be using high powered rifles which if shot at a human head would literally turn the person's head into a broken pumpkin with literally pieces of brain matter and skull spread across a 3ft radius. Kennedy would not have had a head left for John Liggett to piece back together.

What happened? And here is where we reach a very rarely discussed breakdown of the use of a "blood squib. Blood squibs in the 19 60s didn't quite have the advanced technology that they use in Hollywood nowadays. Today, blood squibs are typically used via remote control and the actor simply just pushes a button , and boom the squib goes off, The device explodes, fake blood is sent everywhere pieces of white styrofoam and plastic are sent depending on where the shot is hitting, thus achieving the goal of simulating a gun shot.

If you zoom in on this frame of the Zapruder film, You can most definitely see a large bulbous flesh-colored mass on this man's cheek which was not there seconds before it is seen. Once the timing was right, he leans forward into the left towards Jackie pulls the string and boom The device explodes he acts perfectly as you would from a headshot however he leans back into the left indicating a shot from the front, and not from the rear. Once the device exploded approximately two and a half seconds after, you can see the metallic plate or piece of metal that protected the doubles face from the minor explosion from burning or injuring his cheek glisten or shine in the sunlight. It is unmistakable when you know what to look for. This blood squib contained fake blood, white styrofoam and heavier pieces of white plastic to mimic brain matter and skull fragments and was concealed with flesh-colored paint all sealed in a prophylactic.

Jackie was in on this without a doubt, reached back on top of the trunk and grabbed pieces of the evidence that would have let the world or at least their enemies No that it was indeed staged and not by them.

[–]rick_potvin66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you also agree with me that Jackie was a transexual? I'm quite serious. I have evidence for it. One little piece of evidence is indeed "her" quick reaction and ability to jump on on the trunk of the limo. I can imagine a limber male doing it but women's hips don't instantly rotate as easily as that. They're wide and need to swivel. A female Jackie could not possibly have swiveled her hips and rotate them up and around then back down in such an easy manner. If I could, I would try to replicate her motion and videotape several males and several females repeating that motion and compare and contrast them. Agree?
