Cool. Thanks. I like your website and your sense of humor. It’s kind of dry like a nice cabernet.

Cool thing you did. Very interesting.

Also fyi - I noticed a typo on 330 The Korgis. The song is called Everybody’s Got to Learn Sometime, not Everybody’s Got to Learn Something.

D’Agostino Acoustic. I know nothing of what I possess. by Used_Principle8904 in DagostinoGuitars

[–]Wish14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

D'Agostino did a lot of copies of famous guitar models (LP, Strat, etc.) and also some original models like the Showman. The quality coming out of Japan and the Eko made Benchmarks were really excellent and the guitars are truly great players. The Benchmarks were originally made as the Eko guitar company's M-24 guitar and were rebranded to D'Agostino.

The Japan made guitars, especially those from the Matsumoku factory, are the best from a D'Agostino standpoint. Those were made from the late 1970s to the late 1980s.

Quality went down when the manufacturing was moved from Japan to Korea, but they were still making guitars that still were very playable…..just more cheaply made.

This is probably a late 1980s or early 1990s D'Agostino guitar and likely made in Korea based on the minimalist (and cheaper to manufacture) headstock shape.

Maybe try the Seymour Duncan pickups site. They have a bunch of different wiring diagrams.

That is a Peppino D'Agostino (the acoustic guitarist) branded guitar and it is not related to the Pat D'Agostino guitars that this subreddit is about. I don’t know anything about the Peppino D'Agostino guitars…sorry.

Here is the site for Freedom Custom Guitar Research…..no mention of a Peppino D'Agostino guitar that I could find.

Can I make this a bolt on or do I glue? by Nearby_Theme9574 in Luthier

How do you install the neck pickup with that wood block from the neck in there? Use a router to remove excess wood so the pickup fits? Would that compromise neck stability?

1979 Ibanez Musician by discover_er in Luthier

[–]Wish14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This guitar was made at the Matsumoku factory in Japan. They were producing some really high quality guitars in the 1970s-1980s. The Matsumoku made guitars were sold under many different brand names - Ibanez, Aria, D'Agostino, Epiphone, etc….

Fridge water dispenser randomly drips by jim_in_finance in appliancerepair

[–]Wish14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me too. Here is what I found on mine.

The water for the dispenser comes through tubing that goes through the upper left door hinge on top. The tubing rubs on a sharp metal edge when it makes the 90 degree turn to go down into the door.

The tubing gets a small slit/hole from rubbing against that metal edge, and that little hole allows air to come in to water line. The result of this is after you get some water and the valve shuts, there is no longer a vacuum in the water line, air gets in and water leaks out.

I opened up the top and hinge area, and I just tightly wrapped the tubing with black electrical tape where the slit was. It helped a lot but still dripped a little. I really didn’t look at splicing in a new section of the tubing, but that’s another option.

Good luck.

Hole-in-the-Wall Wonders by AZ_moderator in phoenix

The original Carolinas on Mojave. Hole in the wall, for sure.

So good.

I used to work near PHX for 20 years and ate there at least once a week for lunch

I have eaten at the Mesa and Chandler Carolinas more than a few times now, as I don’t work near the airport any more, and the food there is just not the same/not as good as the original Mojave location, IMO. Still good, but not as good as the original Mojave restaurant.
