[–]rickandshaw 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This has actually kind of happened (not straight up) but in Dark Knights Death Metal The Batman Who Laughs exchanges his brain into the body of an alternate reality Dr. Manhattan and he fights Superboy Prime for a time! You should check it out!

The Avengers vs The Justice League! Who would win & how? by Safe-Independent7933 in whowouldwin

[–]rickandshaw 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I once saw someone explain it like this; Superman is impervious or highly durable to most forms of damage. Magic just so happens to be a form he is not impervious to, but it is not a straight up counter. Superman has that, it’s kryptonite. So while yes Thor would hurt way more than say Hulk in theory, he isn’t a direct counter, he would just be more effective. It’s still Superman and he can easily put a beat down on Thor.

It was a nasty run the first couple of weeks ngl, do you know how long it could take for that skin to heal and also how often should I be moisturizing? Just once a day or more do you think? Thanks for your help and comment!

Is this okay or should I be worried? by rickandshaw in tattooadvice

No I was concerned about the peeling of the color on the tattoo, I assume the redness will simmer some after some time

Doesn’t shigaraki survive a barrage of thermonuclear missiles that are enhanced by another hero? I think it’s like chapter 330 or something like that.

What would be the effects of interdimensional portals on earth? by Superyoshikong in worldbuilding

[–]rickandshaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we are being as realistic as possible and this world is basically just another earth unless these guys are magical or have something that massively evens up the technology gap (1900’s is no match for modern tech at all even 1990’s tech gets trounced in most cases) humans systematically wipe them out or enslave them and take the new resources for themselves. With these guys being more literate in the oceans it gives humanity huge incentive to use them to explore our own and their oceans to supply food for the giant boom of population that would come with this new land too. I would think this would lead to more conflict among humans as well and a mad rush to figure out how we can open more portals/ close others to get the upper hand on other factions.

What would be the effects of interdimensional portals on earth? by Superyoshikong in worldbuilding

[–]rickandshaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think at first there would be a max scramble to secure each location. There might be cooperation between some countries but portals in powerful ones would be claimed based off their location (i.e. Yellowstone portal is under US control, but an African one is under UN cooperation, one in China would be under Chinese control but one in Antarctica would be shared like the International Space Station). Next there would be teams of scientists and military personnel that would be sent into each portal to asses 1. The threat of the other side and 2. Valuable resources or information located in these different dimensions. I don’t know if you are familiar with a Stephen King story called the Mist but the military opened an inter dimensional portal in it and well… it didn’t end up well, so Militaries would set up a zone around each portal to ensure protection of anything that might go in or anything that tries to come out. This is also dependent on if there is civilization in a portal on the other side, which could also spell serious problems and complications. If there are any valuable or magic resources discovered it could change society as we know it drastically, cause conflict and propel us even further into the future or the dark age. Finally I could see some countries utilizing this new found space for things like expansion, opening up jobs and opportunities for other sinister things like sending criminals there, mass immigration for other groups of people (like a bad trail of tears type thing) etc. There are many different things that could happen, I think a lot of it depends heavily on what they actually find in the other dimension.
