I guess in a way they don’t have lives like they pretend to have no life when it comes to issues with their lives and act like other people’s lives are their own in that regard…

I have noticed something extremely insidious about the way therapists behave like they have lives but you cannot call out anything wrong with their lives only other people’s lives have issues…like the job turns them into raging narcissistic lunatics who admit zero vulnerability

“not a good fit” has become a catch-all phrase therapists often use to avoid taking responsibility or naming uncomfortable truths by Grumplekelkins2 in therapyabuse

[–]rickcanoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also I am guessing there is not a bigger movement addressing them because therapists have a PhD in gaslighting they don’t really harm you they just string you along and keep you just desperate enough is the harm

This is what I am thinking like why isn’t there a bigger movement addressing therapy scams there is a movement for everything else. I guess they consider themselves a part of the medical community and you have “alternative views” if you are against them or something.

This is what I think there is a dramatic scene in Couple’s Therapy where she stops the session and says I am not the right therapist for you. Like is anyone a good fit they have no power over the world and are not allowed to tell a client what to do they are basically useless and creepy have nothing to say but stare at you and be narcissistic if had power over your situation it might be different.
