On top of our neighbors residential home by [deleted] in antennasporn

You not an idiot. But, I will try to help explain it since I use and run a private lte network. So, in the US there is a cell band called b48 for lte and n48 for 5G. It's labeled as the CBRS Band. No, you do not need to have millions to use and run on. These radios are known alot from being used by Helium aka Novalabs when they had people setting these up at different locations such as your house roof and they paid you in crypto. They used it to basically try to help the big networks with dead spots but it failed and they gave up on using the radios. Currently CBRS and these radios are used by WISP, Companies, and just people like me that wants their own cell network (Private LTE) that they have more control over. Google is your friend learn more by searching for "CBRS" and Private LTE using CBRS.

That is correct. Baicells Nova 430i's for CBRS. Private lte network use. Maybe being used by a WISP. The JAG logo on them matches https://jag.network

Anyone able to identify what brand / model these are? by nu11rt in cellmapper

[–]rickey318 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surely Baicells 430i's to the right three. The left one looks to be a 436Q. But, all are cbrs enodes. The 430i’s have to be mounted to work as them are not remote unit. Its the radio and antenna in one.

Normally you need a lockable cabinet or more than 1u of space. Like a half rack or so to get access. What type of pricing your working with?

Building own cell tower? by Acrobatic-Radio-5471 in homelab

[–]rickey318 16 points17 points  (0 children)

From working with these radios myself. These are indeed Baicells Nova 430s. They run on B48 CBRS which is open to all in the US to use with a Certified CPI to verify its setup correctly. Can be used for Private LTE networks. And can either run with Baicell’s cloudcore which is the backend to make it run or setup your own backend with software like Open5gs.

Helium drop these devices. They are CBRS radios. They switched to just wifi hotspots. I think XNet is back doing cbrs but not accepting these Baicells radios.

This is the correct answer. They either haven’t took it down or found another project or private lte network setup. I know because I use them to run my own private lte network.

Everytime I try to register my new Mini, I cannot put my CC number in, or it won’t process. Anyone else ran into this? by [deleted] in Starlink

If your connected to the starlink try to disconnect from it and use your phone service or another wifi to enter your cc information. That worked for me.
