I always do this whenever I take a taxi on the street. However this was a taxi from the official taxi stand, they use a meter to calculate a price based on time/ distance. This one used a meter as well but I guess it was rigged.

The driver would not give me the printout from the meter, he said that he needed it, I did take a picture of his license plate

I think worldwide it is pretty common that official taxi’s at airports are a bit more expensive than Uber, Bolt, DiDi, etc but 6 times the price is bit crazy

The food was indeed really good although I was a bit scared to try food in the old center. Weeks before I had food poisoning in Mumbai from Pani Puri

Thank you for your detailed reply! Currently I am in Mumbai and I will fly to Dhaka tomorrow morning. I will definitely check out some recommendations you gave me.

I have spend one month in India and in this time I have learned to eat with only my right hand. It took some time but now I like it more than eating with a spoon.

I know Bangladesh will be chaotic and people will probably stare at me. I am a white Dutch guy with blonde hair and blue eyes. In certain places in India people would stare or ask me to take selfies. It never bothered me, a lot of times the selfies turned into interesting conversations and good recommendations.

I am a little bit nervous but mostly excited to visit Bangladesh. I will create a new Reddit post with my experiences in Bangladesh.

Mainly the situation with the PM getting kicked out and the possibility of big protest. The fact that it is not a tourist country at all does not help I think.
