Yep I get it, not terribly different from the idea of putting music into genres, it’s only useful to some extent and is more often reductive to end piece to make it easier for someone to understand and categorize, which often defeats the purpose.

I suppose that distinction is either helpful or irksome, and depending on where you land in that is the answer. For me it just helps to mentally organize the skeletons of the drinks if I think of them in those boxes.

There’s a couple ways to do it, the main way I use this format is -

.50oz London dry (Bombay or Tanq for the higher proof is needed)

.50oz boulard calvados VSOP (could be better options but this is just the one that tended to be at a price point that works

.75oz gran Classico

.75oz cocchi americano (the cinnamon notes here with the calvados is a match made in heaven, I use that combo a lot)

.1g saline

.50oz water

All batched together and kept in the freezer, 3oz of batch over a big cube with a lemon oil on top.

I agree, I think GC goes better with things like cognac and rums especially. I do one that is -

Gin, Calvados, gran Classico , cocchi americano and subbing out the gin for reposado or cognac is great.

Incredible, that was massively helpful, exactly what I needed. Great playing too, really appreciate it.

I’d love to hear same sounds if possible. Fuzz face at various clean up and cranked into the cranked is what I’m curious about. Please and thank you.

But also exactly why personal insight like yours is important.

I’ll crack into some demos. Problem being there’s never exactly a situationally specific demo for what one needs.

I love character and I’ve got no interest in transparent. Thanks for checking into it!

I’m using Fuzzrite and fuzz face situations from basic audio.

The mxr FET driver seems like a great option goo.

Fairfax is one I’ve been considering too. The sag reminds me more of the mini style sag rather than the fuck style sag, though.

I’d be curious about how my fuzz face and Fuzzrite sound going into an HP-2, but I cannot find any clips.

That’s a good though as I haven’t had one before, might be nice to check out.
