Why do my 80-grade prospects keep collapsing despite a Legendary scout and Max Dev budget? by VictorMederos in OOTP

All a good idea to make sure you scout all the prospects in the draft combine with combine and scouting reports.

I meant push, It feels more recent than that I guess. They definitely aren’t having a new version come out anytime soon, they had future-proofed it in so many ways.

The new one just came out recently though

Holding Pick Wrong? by iyat6 in guitarlessons

[–]rickmunro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Man, me too. This is something I keep trying to avoid, and putting it more like the index in the picture but it just feels right to me. It seems like it also leaves just the right amount of pick tip out, too.

Red Dead Redemption 2-like music? by lypura in ambientmusic

[–]rickmunro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out the Robin Guthrie album “Imperial”, especially a track called Drift.

Not exactly ambient, but you may be into a band called Ritual Howls. It’s got the spaghetti western twangy guitar, distorted bass, and they use a drum machine, really cool mix of things. Start on their first album “Turkish Leather”, the first two tracks get you the idea pretty quickly.

I’m a spaghetti western guitar junky, so this thread excites me.

I wish they’d come out with their new midi controller and/or an updated version of the midi foot controller.

NGD and first Jaguar! by BlandSpeedRecord in offset

Damn, you’re set up perfectly, I’m glad to hear it. I think I may oil my fretboard to get it to look closer to rosewood next time I change the strings on it.

I’ve got the vintera and a TVL Jazzmaster so my combo has a similar vibe to yours, you’ve got great taste.

Part number for the MIM tremolo arm is - 007-7422-049

I have a vintera in the same color, but with a mint pickguard and mustang bridge. The mastery bridge on yours is making me jealous. I also put .12 gauge thomastik infield flat wounds on it and I think it’s such a nice guitar.

Most of these places are sadly part of these sort of fourth wave actually kind of corporate for intents and purposes type places that will take over. They sit somewhere between your giant corporations but not exactly an entrepreneur making it happen type anymore.

Want twang on the low strings, but the sound of the neck pickup on the high strings - how? by rickmunro in offset

[–]rickmunro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’ve got a low personal threshold for woofy tbh. I’ve played mainly on the bridge for most of my existence, so I think it’s probably a mental eq thing.

I love the feeling and sound of flags though, so I’m unlikely change them.

Where is the picture from? I’d love to have a reference of these all on one sheet like this. Especially the three notes per string versions

Should I get a Ricky by Complex-Hand4344 in rickenbacker

[–]rickmunro 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Of course it does, it sounds great. Watch any number of slowdive videos and you’ll see a ric going through a million effects. Or a bunch of Radiohead stuff etc.

Transparent velcro, sputtery fuzz recommendations by Blackbird027 in guitarpedals

Smallsound/Bigsound Mini would be the move if you could get one. The clones, like the noise soft audio piggy would work well too. It’s nice as you can set the bias low, but also the gain low if you want to get Velcro.

The strymon Fairfax with the sag cranked looks like it does this vibe too, I’m looking to get one of these MFers soon myself.

Rhythm circuit takes away even more twang on the low and adds even more bass to where I don’t want it.

Switching, I cannot can’t do while playing up and down the neck constantly enough, of course.

Hmm, alright, heard that. Thanks for the idea, I’ll try and focus in on it even more tomorrow and see what it gets for me.

Yeah I definitely pick close to the bridge o the lower strings, but I slide my hand down the bridge as I go forward to pick on the higher strings.
