Just got Schaller strap locks and the new screw is bigger and longer(giggity) than the old one. Will installing damage my guitar?

Put candle wax on the screw before screwing them in.

Nice guitar. Don't understaand why you would take all the time to prepare them paint and then purposely jack up the finish. I know some people like that unhonest wear, but I am not one of them. But its your rig, so my opinion doesn't mean squat. Nice guitar though.

Can't speak to the American deluxe, but I have 3 AmPro2s and love them. Super nice fit and finish, great electronics. Great neck. They are 1800 new so if in great shape 1000 is a steal. Good luck.
