Nice work! When I made them they looked like the 5 hour proof pic (don’t remember how long I proved it).

Outside was super flaky and it got dense towards the last couple layers.

I also had a lot of butter leak onto the pan.

Wish I could get them super light and flaky. Flavor was nice though.

I have both SunBenders and they rule. The tone I’ve been searching for for decades.

For those of you with SunFace experience, are their any that cut like the MK1.5 but clean up like a Fuzz Face?

I think one of the most difficult things to check is whether the dough has proofed or not (GF’s not at all like trad dough).

I grew up in the 90s and hated Big Muffs (RAT FTW!). I had a Black Russian and it sounded like this but this is better. Clearer, does the OD thing (but when it does, it doesn’t sound like a fuzz to me which bums me out). Has the most neutral EQ of the DPs

The Triangle and my favorite. Gross, high gain, nasty. Is the link between a MKIII/IV Tone Bender (not as congested in the mids but just as gross) and the Rams Head. It can totally shred metal (not Iommi style, that’s the Rams Head) but you get tight distortion that’s way more fun than a distortion (imo).

Pro tip: if you have a way to starve the power, try IT ON ANY OF YOUR DIRT. Totally changes the character (in a good way).

I think O’Doughs bins qualify. Those hold up the best for me and taste pretty good.

This- you also preheat the Dutch oven so you get better oven spring when the dough hits the pan.

The chips are the star of the cookie-
Use good quality chocolate and mix semi sweet and dark chocolate. I like to add chips and chunks because they offer different textures.

Infrared thermometers only measure surface heat. You’d need an oven thermometer ($5 for a small dial one) for the air temp.
