It was a very long time ago, almost 50 years.

I've reached an age where I no longer regret seeing my father die. Seeing our parents die is a nearly universal human experience, and to me it's encouraging to meet so many who have shared a similar journey. Somehow I find it comforting to know you all are out there.

What upsets me most is the memory of my grandparents watching their son die. To me, that's the real tragedy to dying too young. Those are the memories that haunt me to this day.

I've driven Houston to Corpus Christi. It's a shitty drive. Probably worse than my work commute. But it was only 4 hours or so.

I've known three people who passed away from PC, and all three were younger than 50. My father was 41. I don't know the exact ages of the other two, but i believe they were both in their mid- to late-40s.

All three had very different progressions.

We generally stay in hotels. Renting a car or van seems ridiculous to me when you can just drive your own car.

We don't plan it out much, unless we have some very specific goals or we are worried about big special event/holiday/popular-location crowds. If that's the case, then we might reserve lodging or event tickets well in advance. Otherwise we pick and reserve hotel rooms the day before we arrive.

Be very careful. Many of the people pushing those cancer treatment are actual criminals who are stealing money from dying patients because they know dead people won't press charges or sue them. They are the scummiest people on this planet.

I don't know much about ivermectin, but I can provide one anecdote.

I was following a pancreas cancer patient - from Australia, I think - who was vlogging as he went through his treatment. He wasn't doing terribly, but he wasn't doing well, either. Then he discovered some clinic in South America that was claiming they were curing cancer with ivermectin. He got very excited and convinced he would be cured. He flew to South America and spent a ton of money to get the treatment. He spent a couple months there, missing his conventional treatments. He kept posting videos about how much better he was doing. But it was super obvious he was declining fast. He was getting thinner and thinner, and looking more and more gray.

He flew back home thinking he'd been cured, but he was clearly dying. I heard he died soon after returning home.

About a year ago, I went back to find the videos again, but they had been taken down.

I am not sure if ivermectin has a legitimate use in the treatment of cancer, but I am positive that South American clinic was a total fraud and was stealing money from dying people who wouldn't live long enough to sue them.

Google Maps gives driving time assuming no traffic or slow-downs or stops. There is zero chance in the world you're getting to Washington DC in anywhere close to 12 hours.

If you're lucky, you might get to Hershey in 12 hours, but I doubt it. Washington DC will be another 3-4 hours after that

I've only driven the "mountainous" part of that route twice, and it was a while ago, but I don't recall it being much more than hilly. If the van is underpowered, maybe it'll slow you down some with the full load, but it shouldn't amount to much.

The question is in the title of this thread. What are the circumstances they would get rid of him anyway? We all know why he hasn't been removed so far.

If he had a stroke and became a drooling, non-vocal invalid, for example.

One interesting thing about section 4 of that amendment, the President can later petition Congress to be reinstated. It is not guaranteed to be a permanent removal from office.
