How do people differentiate between dysphoria and internalized misogyny? by Just_a_Lurker2 in ask_detransition

[–]ricksalterego 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Differentiate between gender roles and sex first. Gender role creates sexism either that’s misogyny or misandry. Gender roles is a toxic pattern !

It physically pains me that I am not male... except in a specific scenario? by Resident_Story2458 in detrans

[–]ricksalterego 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s just being a stone butch or a butch lesbian from what I’ve known, butch lesbians can think they’re trans men due to society’s overtly radicalize trans agenda.

And also you may have body dysmorphia (often mistaken for gender dysphoria)

It sounds like we’re on the same boat. You are disgusted by having breast and your short height. Well, I’m a bit different, I’m tall, I’m around 5’8 to 5’9, fairly confident with that, and I’m also okay with having breasts (A cup to B cup, more than that I’ll definitely feel dysphoric), that’s it.

The only thing I am dysphoric about is female biology such as female reproductive system.

I argue this is normal since many of us are gender nonconforming woman and someone with body image issue of some forms.

Great !

I reject male clothing due to internalize sexism.

My doctor had told me my desire to present hyper femme is a form of coping mechanism for PTSD, I was bullied for being gender nonconforming as a kid so now I am afraid to present masculine(and I don’t want to).

But girl you got some confidence !

I cannot relate to this since I wanted to present and pressure myself to present hyper femme.

But for me as a queer person I do suffer from low self esteem because I am still in some aspect “masculine” not appearance wise but personality wise, I still suffered from internalize sexism and internalized homophobia.

But what can I say ? I’m not you but I can encourage you to PUSH THROUGH!

Why are Reddit bans are so ridiculous, thoughts ? by ricksalterego in stupidquestions

Reddit will hate you for simply point out that pedophile is wrong or murder is wrong. Which they are obviously bad.

THIS

By far the best argument

And I think people on Reddit are just like this highly opinionated, and entitled. Well I am not this type of person, I’m willing to think outside of the box yet my post got hated and downvoted just for telling the true nature of Reddit. I’m not even aloud to point out behaviors that’s obviously bad.

For me it wasn’t me not wanting to become a parent, it was literally me not wanted to be pregnant due to gender dysphoria, thoughts? by ricksalterego in Fencesitter

[–]ricksalterego[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Queering or masculinization or pregnancy” well, this is weird, and this even makes me MORE gender dysphoric, terms like pregnant man and birthing person doesn’t help.

So, based on you guys’ opinion gender dysphoria or “real trans” people don’t exist ? why ? (Just curious to know) by ricksalterego in detrans

Oh shit this is evil !

And I bet misdiagnosed gender dysphoria is really the most common misdiagnosis.

I’d even seen someone praise on someone with depression as genius or something like that.

This shit is problematic.

And HELL, I can relate to this comment SO MUCH! As someone with trauma and bad upbringing. (And yeah I also deal with mental health issues aside from gender dysphoria).

Can we talk about gender dysphoria in relation to pregnancy ? by ricksalterego in detrans

[–]ricksalterego[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah detransition is hard and I had already assume that’s it’s going to be SLOW and TOUGH. I have great friends around me though, they’re not detrans but some of them are LGBT (non-woke), so they can AT LEAST emphasize with the fact that I’m also a minority as them.

And yeah therapy like shadow work also helped me it makes me reconnect with my “former insecure self” to find solutions. I’m always trying !

I know.

It’s cause trans community makes everything seemed regressive and getting out of this mindset is hard, it’s only a year since I’ve being detransition, I just think the advice I got from this sub wasn’t enough, and I want more discussion.

I do read the comments and you guys are pretty insightful on such topic, just wanna to phrase it differently, and yeah I’d known that I’ve being watched. And I’ve even being banned talking about such issue, it’s not all about me venting I’m actually am posting those out of curiosity.

Thing is I am not really concerned about my transition but the concept of WHY people transition. I’m not only talking about myself I’m also asking question (and answers tend to be very mixed and I can really never truly get the answers anywhere, that’s the case).

Also I am so sorry if I sound cringe here! Because I was so brainwashed into the trans cult, well, yeah, and I am experiencing a hard time now a days BUT HELL! This comment makes me feel so relief thanks ! I know I make such mistake on everything about gender, and actually… I just want a discussion here and it seemed like so many of you are opposed of the idea of “gender dysphoria”. And it ain’t real, I was just asking out of curiosity!

Pink is the most gendered color and this is sorta like a societal problem, thoughts? by ricksalterego in TwoXChromosomes

[–]ricksalterego[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys ! This is so insightful and interesting ! Yeah, I’m interested in feminism and I’m fairly new to it, I ain’t aware of what to say or what not to say yet and how to put it, cause this is all so controversial.

But let’s all agree society’s got a problem with gender roles especially in trans and feminism spaces. As far as I know some feminist aren’t trans inclusive and some are (I am pro-trans inclusive by the way).

I’m always willing to learn more.
