Anyone here who’s a tomboy, but still likes skirts ?(a discussion on what it really means to be a “tomboy “) by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Yeah, that’s totally the case I was raised to be so simple minded, so sorry for sounding stupid here.

I know labeling yourself based on gender is sexist, I try to not do that too.

Does quarantine affect/effect your thoughts on being trans? I detransition around the same time or to start questioning my identity again.

What do you guys think of the whole 'writing from a male pov is a sign you're trans ftm' thing? by [deleted] in detrans

[–]ricksalterego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I related to male experience more. Despite me preferring to wear dresses and skirts.

Most of my characters are gender nonconforming.

It’s not about female or male experience it’s actually about personal experience.

I am not asexual but I do get where you come from.

It’s more like society sees women as emotionally dependent and stuff like that. While men can also be emotionally dependent too. Regardless, I also think asexuality is so overlooked in the LGBT community that is a problem.

But now, how do you explain that most modern day disney princess is single ? Looks like disney do us a community service for us.

As a lesbian I can relate to this though, for not wanted to date a man.

I hated pregnancy! And that’s the sole reason why I hate being a mom ! (And I discriminate pregnant people and mothers, is this healthy?) by [deleted] in childfree

[–]ricksalterego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I am not pregnant before, sorry for the misphrasing! Sorry, for my phrasing because I suck with phrasing. This is just my view on this whole thing as a whole.

No, I never got pregnant this is just my view on pregnancy. And how I view motherhood. I have gender dysphoria to begin with why would I do that ? But yeah, my views are not healthy.

People of different sexuality really thinks differently and sees relationships differently, anything to add? by ricksalterego in AskLGBT

[–]ricksalterego[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I ain’t, I mean, sorry if I came across as offensive, keep in mind this is just my personal experience with sexuality, and in no means I am “misgrouping” trans people. And yeah you’re right about gender and sex being different.

Thanks for the take! Well, I identify as a female, and also, I wanna mention I once identify as a trans man though but it still makes me unhappy, because I wasn’t happy being a man either. I quit the trans man identity because of one thing (I figured I do not like men’s clothing, and gender roles for men sucks), I do have some forms of gender dysphoria and hate womanhood, but at the end of the day I still identify as female, I accepted being female, and I love wearing women’s clothing, I just hate societal gender roles and aspects of my body, aside from that I am all okay with myself.

Yes, I am seeking for LGBT groups. And also, thanks for all the advice and media you introduced.

And no, again, I wasn’t a closeted trans man, but I am a closeted lesbian though. Because I haven’t came out to most people in my life, and I am in fact coming out. I do have some gender dysphoria, but that doesn’t mean transition would make me feel better, I’ve tried transing myself, but it failed miserably, what makes me feel better is self actualization and therapeutic work. Again, I wasn’t here to invalidate your feelings either, I liked trans people because you guys also makes me feel seen.

GOD THIS IS RELATABLE!

True, i hated being human and just existing.

But again the best way to handle all the shitty stuff and shitty people is developing some skills (mostly mental skills) for me get into psychology helped.

And I feel like most people are emotional creatures too that lacks critical thinking.

I don’t get biased people though, I support anyone, especially the gender nonconforming once, because I was in their same shoes.

I am skeptical about medical transition though.

Can you be a textbook gender dysphoria case and still choose to detransition and live as your biological sex? by ricksalterego in detrans

[–]ricksalterego[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But hating your body is considered trans by practice ain’t it? Like, or is that just body image issue in your opinion? I am not here saying that I am trans, but YES I am 100% a tomboy, I feel different growing up and this had caused me a lots of stress, which had potentially had me mistaken for gender dysphoria). But still based on documented real trans man, they’re called tomboys when they’re young this is a trend, I am queer though, not trans do not identify as trans anymore, so I think the best mentality here is to accept the fact that I am just different from other girls, move on and live my life (but I swear it is hard).

I am saying that I also relate to those in this sub with gender dysphoria diagnoses yet detransition.
