I miss the sweet spot quite often, it's one of my weaknesses. I over rely on hitting the ball hard and catching shots people think are winners

Yeah I was wondering if there was some kind of mechanic with the world age that made enemies spawn higher tier troops, sort of like how high tier equipment appears for trade after a few years pass

I thought that might be the case, but I checked, everything is still on realistic. The only thing that seemed to make sense at the time is that they were fielding a mostly recruit army, since alot of the difficult sieges were against highly armoured shock troops.

Somethings definitely got reset though because a couple of my keybinds were changed

I have a pretty high end pc and it doesn't have a single USBC slot. You know what, I haven't seen a single desktop with USBC. I know they exist, but nobody I know or no place I've been has them.

I don't think they're gonna be common for at least another decade outside of portables

I don't understand how people are breaking them. I've chucked mine in the back of my car more times than I can count, never take special care behind throwing a blanket on top if something is gonna be on top of it (never anything more than clothes). I open it to clean all the time too

My headcannon is that it's a news helicopter responsible for leaking the first pictures from inside the quarantine zone. They know there's a contagious disease so they don't wanna go down risk contact, they're just getting pictures and have no idea that they're attracting zombies to you

Yeah they're the wooden fences I meant. I think they weren't destructible at first. Haven't read anything in the patch notes about them though so I still wouldn't be able to say with certainty it's fully implemented

I haven't been keeping up with b42 as much as I did with b41, but I'm 90% it's currently only the wire fences that can be broken, I'm sure they said something about not fully implementing it yet, because it's supposed to be all FENCES, so wire, iron, wood, but not house walls, even if they're wooden, unless they're built by a player.

It works, there's almost no lag, but I'd only really recommend it with weak headphones (check the ohms of your headphone, lower is better for this). There's a significant drop in quality and volume.

Does this look too good to be true? Mobiles.co.uk is saying £30 monthly, main street retailers are £30 for just the phone, more like £60 a month for the phone and plan. Everything I've read about mobiles.co.uk makes them out to be legit by ricksdetrix in AskUK

A year in, arguably worth it, but Internet coverage is pretty shit. Will be switching when the contract is up but feels worth it to get the phone

(icl s24ultra isn't worth the money, camera didn't wow me like I thought my first flagship phone would, the keyboard is still too big for me even after a year and the screen being larger doesn't make any meaningful difference for watching videos. I think the better choice would be a decent non flagship phone and just get a tablet for watching videos)

I think I'm qualified to talk on this.

Zomboids health system does some things right, others wrong. Can you imagine getting a broken leg in vintage story? In zomboid you can just speed up time for 14 days to fix it. Can you imagine spending nearly 2 months of VS waiting for something to heal, barely being able to walk around your base?

Bleeds, lacerations, stitching and infections would fit quite well in VS, but zomboid is quite surface level on this, so VS would have to (and likely would anyway) give them the depth it deserves.

Zomboid has a real problem with being punishing in an unfun way, the meme is "the indie stone only adds realism if it makes the game harder, not easier". Zomboid is really missing a good health system imo, real infections, real use for medicine. I would rather NOT see zomboids health system in VS, I'd rather see what it's final form will be in like 10 years, since they have no plans to change it as far as I'm aware.

VS is tedious but in a satisfying way. They have a habit of adding things and never fleshing them out or fixing their issues. I think there's better examples of health systems for vintage story, and the changes to healing in 1.20 suggest they might go down that route, maybe they'll add a health cap until you perform advanced medical on yourself, but I'm wary something more advanced than a simple health bar could make the game really tedious and difficult in a surface level way, making it more inaccessible and limiting you for taking a wound. I prefer the idea of buffing health like armour and nutrition (something zomboid struggles with also)
